I've not paid a massive amount of attention to the stories about historical abuse in football but I watched these two interviews this morning and found them profoundly moving. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04gp4j1http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38107544Andy Woodward deserves a medal for coming forward and opening the path for the other poor guys to finally let their personal demons out. We all know the levels of bravado and machismo within football so to go public with such a personal and horrific set of experiences takes real courage.

It needed someone to be the first to publicly reveal the extent of the situation and encourage others to speak up. I anticipate a lot lot more. Well done Andy Woodward. I believe that it will only require the first current professional footballer who is gay to publicly reveal to have a similar effect... IMO the sooner the better to enable the game to get over one of the last great taboos of football.

Its scary and incredible whats being revealed. Hopefully those that are guilty will be found so. Hopefully speaking out will also help the players in some way. I cant believe the scale of it all!
