Ive just found a google image of Lord Percy, the uneducated would find the visual comparison amusing but I cannot fathom out how to post it. We were laughing about it last night. "Sir, I really think we should make a substitution". Page "Don't be so stupid Percy".

It's clearly not working with Rico and Revell playing together though, and we don't have any other options up top.

Not true. Page has refused to allow anybody else an opportunity up there. In spite of the obvious failings of playing 1 up with our current personnel/ negative deep lying tactics or playing Rico and Revell  together.

Everyone seems to have forgotten that Hoskins has spent the entire season playing out of position, mostly in at least his third best position.

He is a centre forward. He has been given a grand total of zero opportunities to play there this year though.

JJ Hooper is a centre forward too. Vale fans told us when we signed him that he was pretty dreadful when played wide but was starting to look the real deal when played as a striker. Didn't he win the League 1 Player of the Month last April or something playing  as a centre forward? Again Page has, to the best of my knowledge, given him no opportunity at all to play there for us.

Looks like even less then he did as a player - but then maybe I'm being a bit harsh.

Watching the highlights I am incredulous that the winning goal was allowed. Also felt the ref should have sent off the Dale player who took out Anderson in the first half as he ran clear.
However, those glaring mistakes don't alter the fact that we could have taken a real hiding in this game if the Dale strikers had really had their shooting boots on, as they missed a number of clear chances.

Because since the Man Utd game (where we understandably sat off them) we are treating every league 1 team like they are Man Utd. GET IN THEIR FACES AND CLOSE THEM DOWN HIGHER UP THE PITCH!!!!

Spot on Cobbler78, I said this before the game (re:Man Utd) and i knew it would end badly as soon I saw that team sheet.

I have no issue with 1 up top, in fact i prefer it (4-2-3-1 against MK at home is an example of exactly how it should work). But it was plain to see that Revell would be isolated and we would be going long as soon as saw that teamsheet.

Page is breeding Negavitiy at all levels throughout the club with the way he has set us up. Bolton, Bradford, Sheffield etc are bigger clubs, sure, but we are in the same league and we are giving them far too much respect. We had no 'right' to win the league last year, especially when you consider that that there were 'Bigger' clubs than us in it. But we played 'Our' game all season. We took the game to every team we played and we believed we could beat anyone.

You've nailed it. Lord Percy was brought in to turn all of our players into Gold.

Only the experiments gone wrong and he's turned them into pure green instead!
