Anyone want to confess to posting this on their forum?

Me: What do you want for Christmas ?
Son: I want a Dinosaur
Me: Be realistic son,
Son: Ok Dad, I want Oxford to beat Northampton.
Me: What type of Dinosaur do you want ?

Zakuani was immense today and Nyatanga played a great part too. It would be crazy to break up that partnership in defence.
itll be broken up

It has to be said, Oxford were one of the poorest sides I have seen this year. Smith only had to make one routine save. Potter played quite well and should be retained in the starting line up based upon that performance but bottled when still he should have shot to make it 0-1. John Joe had a far more effective game without McCourt next to him but MOTM was Zakuani. Best player from Oxford was the lad at half time chipping the balls with ease.

What am I thinking, there won't be any need to post it on their forum as most of the sad deluded muppets will be seeing it on here.

In the absence of a POTS award today, mine was Zakuani. We are going to miss him in January. I thought Oxford were very poor today. Barely a meaningful save had to be made by Smith.
Easy to say in hindsight! We were pretty poor today, hoofing away at almost every opportunity, though Oxford (clearly not poor) allowed us little or no time on the ball.

3 consecutive 1 0s against them and it's still a Fifa conspiracy, mis aligned stars or us cheating that gets us the results. Bless the poor little souls. I don't think we've come up against a team that looked less likely to score this season, we could still be playing now and they wouldn't have scored. For any Oxelona fan reading this you are by far and away the worst team out of the four promoted last season. I've not been happy with our style of play but my god you lot are dull.

On a side note, not quite the 3 0 so Page's bald head is safe for the time being 😏 But safe to say I enjoyed that.

Thought we looked solid at the back for the whole 90 minutes for the first time in a long while, and Zakuani dealt well aerially with the many long balls Oxford pumped forward for their strikers.

Smith faultless on his recall - although he had virtually nothing to do. Although Oxford did have a little more of the ball their style was far more route one than I thought it would be, and they created little of note.

We had all the best chances and finally took one in the dying seconds. Great scenes at the end, good to see all the lads going mad along with the supporters.

It's just a pity that isn't actually a quote.

"To win it late, against the so called better team of last season, is credit to the boys."

Not quite as marketable but words to the same effect.

Got anything else to moan about?

Hopefully this result and post match reaction will galvanise the relationship between page, the players and the fans. As an aside the one striker who scores goals for oxford - maguire - is out of contract in the summer and is stalling on a new deal

You say that we were pretty poor today and Oxford were clearly not poor.

Let's get it right. They played possession football to no effect, they had no clear chances. We had 3 gilt edged chances before we scored. They are clearly not poor but we are. I am confused.

Thanks, Pedj.  There was me thinking I was alone.  I saw a different game today, while we were not the strident performers of last season, we were not poor. Not great, but hardly the hoofball of recent weeks.
