2017 NY resolutions - it would be nice if NTFC insisted players and staff live in or near the town: a commitment to both club & community. I'm sick and tired of managers and players who continue to live in Yorkshire, Lancashire etc. It would help to make their presence at the club feel less temporary.

Why not also insist that they all drive a claret coloured Audi from up the road, and learn to speak with the local accent.
Wasn't Wilders commitment enough for you then last year, going weeks without pay, and doing that hellish commute from up north?

Pretty sure I have seen lots of press this season of the players going around the local community.

Not sure how your suggestion would benefit us?

It was something C**doza tried to do when he first took the reins.

Yeah wilder travelling each day from Sheffield and Holmes coming up from Essex really slowed us down last season. They can all travel in from St. Austel every day as long as they do the business on the pitch

Ricky lived with Buchs a stone's throw away from Sixfields. Graham Carr set a 30 mile limit and if no one can see the sense in players living locally then read Chris Hargreaves' autobiography - a string of injuries from commuting an hour and a half into work at Brentford each day,

Yes, having to bang on the breaks on the M40 or tripping over bags left in the aisle of the London Midland commuter from Euston can decimate a team through injuries.
Hiring a clueless performance coach doesn't help. El Chippy sorted that for us!

I commute from East Croydon every day, it also takes me about 90 minutes to get to work. Via a bus, network rail, and the tube. But I dont get injured. What a load of bollox.

I think some of the new players have moved in this season, I think McCourt is
one of them.

Yes - Gary Johnson tried to enforce living locally while never quite managing it himself.

And at the other end of the scale, I commute five minutes to work and still manage to get injured!  Grin

I often work from home, yet the other day managed to accidentally insert a pencil sharpener up my bottom, resulting in frankly horrific anal injuries. Playing football is the last thing on my mind
