Good effort today but we need an injection of players similar to those who arrived in Jan 2015 when CW was struggling if we are to avoid relegation.
Clearly woefully lacking in the final third, and we need much more energy around the midfield and centre back departments.

As ive said in a previous thread, Taylor is an excellent set piece player, although he is a luxury on the pitch that NTFC cant afford, this is not so much his fault, but more that the players around him are not good enough to make up his shortcomings.
I do agree to some extent but to expect league 1 players to cover for his lack of legs, inability to disposes the opposition and trampoline touch is, I feel, a bridge too far.

I thought we were better today than we've been in ages and, on balance of play, probably deserved a draw. That said, we saw the same pattern to our play; compete well for long spells and then sit back for the last 10 minutes which affords the opposition chances that the tired bodies in our defence can't deal with. The lack of positive substitutions coupled with the negative one of swapping McCourt for the superior Boateng saw us once again miss out on a share of the spoils.
Listening to Wilko on the radio after the game,, the guy sounds as thick as two short planks and seriously lacking in any get up and go, which reflects how he comes across while standing inanimate on the touchline. Hopefully Edinburgh will have his own team to bring in and we won't have to rely on him in future.
Picking up on the discussion about Taylor, I've long been of the view that he's a passenger for most of the time but given our overall lack of creativity it's difficult to justify dropping him from the side as he's likely to conjure something from a set piece. That said, I thought he had one of his better games for us today!

Also the last home game didn't Revell score from a cross. Who was it it? A dead ball?

No matter still think that Taylor is our one and only class passer of the ball and dead ball specialist.
I cannot agree with this. He contributes very little in the middle of the park. He only steps forward when there is a free kick to be taken.

I wonder what Malky Mackay was doing there today? Saw him with Edinburgh at half time.

That was the first time that I had heard Wilko speak, and I share your opinion.

Couldn't go today as recovering from surgery. From what I heard and have seen on the highlights, someone has changed the script from last season. Last season, we could play average or even crap then win with a wonder goal in the last few minutes. Now its the other team that does it. We have no one like Ricky or their bloke now.

Anderson Taylor 31, 3 + 1 = 4 Anderson. And what a great cross it was. Taylor was blowing out his arse after 20 minutes today and Rico was dead on his feet for the last 10. The bench looked weak today but Wylde could have replaced Rico surely?

With a relegation battle threatening Taylor is perhaps not ideal in such situations. If the midfield is bolstered by additional players he might be an essential asset. I like Taylor he has some class which I find difficult to rail against. We currently have a side which is conspicuously short of quality; so we have a flawed gem. For that alone I am glad we have such a player even if a few on here have strong opinions on him. I for one wont change mine.

I've seen enough telly and watched enough films to know that this means that you will now DEFINITELY change your opinion on him

He would be OK in a team with a dominant full 90 minute box to box driving midfielder next to him. Unfortunately these are a rare commodity in L1. Early on in the season Taylor was subbed off and we one a few games but now he stays on for the full 90 and we loose. I like Taylor and agree he still has some class about him but does he have enough grit in him for a dog fight?

Taylor...........................and some of his back passes are heart in mouth stuff. Perhaps he is a luxury of the likes we can't carry now...we need something different to stop the rot!
Some of JJOT's back passes today had me on the wrong side of the seat today too. In fact both JJOT and Boateng at times today nearly got caught in possession. Strange old game Boateng today sometimes looked a bit uncomfortable when in possession whilst at Bristol he looked quite assured when compared with the dross alongside him.

I had one lined up about his chain of shops that predominantly sell items made of wool but I told it to my cat and it just stared back at me with a look of disdain

Bit unfair on the bloke given the awful situation he's in - under the circumstances he did ok.
