He left because he lost the dressing room and signed loan players who looked like they didn't want to be there. Remind me. Which manager are we talking about???
As I said earlier Out of the frying pan into the fire.....

Lets give him a chance before jumping to conclusions! Every manager faces problems in their career, he did a grand job for them last season!

I'm looking forward to seeing that 4-4-3 formation in action! That could work well if the officials can't count or don't bother.

Can't believe that people are already moaning about the new manager. What happened to open minds, or people judging by what he does rather than comments from fans at a previous club. I'm sure that few of them were moaning last season until Gills ran out of steam. Why not wait and see?

I guess the problem is that what Port Vale fans said about Page all came true so it's easy to pick up on the negatives from the Gills fans. If he'd left in the summer I would imagine the fans views would have been fairly different.

We should not be writing anyone off, we can only judge him on what he does for us. Lets all get behind him 100%, I wish him the very best of luck

I don't think much will change at all. Sky tv decided a few years ago to elevate the manager's profile simply because footballers aren't interesting enough to interview and owners are either too reclusive or boring to listen too. Virtually all managers have been through the same intensive FA courses and every other course available in how to be a manager. None of them are magicians able to conjure up wins from a set of players roughly equal to their opponents. All of those in the short list would have been perfectly able to manage the club and got the best out the the players we've got. Edinburgh wasn't sacked by Gillingham for being too positive or playing entertaining football, he was just doing what he thought would be the best to get results. The only thing that will dreastically change the club's fortune is a big input of money to buy quality players or a large slice of luck - good or bad. If things stay as they are we will remain a mid table club with times when we are flirting with play offs and more likely, times we are threatened with relegation. I'm just saying in the hope that if Edinburgh doesn't lead us instantly to the golden land he's not hounded out and replaced with a new manager, wasting yet more money that could have been spent on players.

Johnson has found his place at the bottom of Division 4 and top of the Gola League
