I agree, wasn't my intention to suggest otherwise, the memory of his first spell here were bugging me today but from others comments I've probably remembered it all wrong

Wasn't aimed at you mate, was just my thoughts.

How do Assistant Manager and other staff contracts work....would we have had to pay Paul Wilkinson, Paddy Kenny and John Harbin out of their contracts? The people that JE has appointed were they all out of work or have we had to buy them out of their contracts from other clubs?

No idea ... much like with the appointment of JE it will depend on what clauses were written into each contract

The norm is for the sacked party to take a severance payment due to the tax benefits and gives them a clean break from the contract.

Some might take a full wage until they get another job and then negotiate a pay off to free them from that contract to take another job.... could be a lump sum or a weekly payment.

Same with players who leave via a mutual termination ...

As suggested in the Justin Edinburgh thread ....Dave Kerslake is announced as JE's number2.

Fans may well remember him from back in the Colin Calderwood days.

Bang goes the rumour I heard on Saturday regarding Malky Mckay Roll Eyes

I am rather more pleased in all this that Harbin has gone - as I suspect will be the majority of the stiffs who had to suffer him on the naughty step.
Particularly when you said previously KT couldn't afford to sack him and Wndow Twankie etc.
