It's all very pleasing we've got in a new player even if only on loan, but let's not go over the top hes hardly played any matches & i dont think he's the world beater many of you on here think he is. I'll keep my fingers crossed he can add to his ONE goal scored this seaon.

Yr chancing things abit with that name with one or two on here

If rumours are true Gorre is on his way Hearts in Scotland for a 6 month loan

Also playing Hoskins as a number 10 - with his finishing - are you having a laugh!!!

OPne thing Keshi cannot be is a worse finisher than Hoskins

Couldn't agree more. IMO Hoskins is rubbish, probably why he hardly got a game when we were in L2. Really don't understand the fascination with him. As for getting Player of The Month - why? For what, exactly?

It's because he runs around a lot. That's the English way for judging a player's capability.

Who do you refer to? Nothing wrong with Mr Knight mind you, but I suspect you inadvertently missed the hint.

As much as I'm in agreement regarding his ability... He probably has been our best player over the past couple of months. Says it all when he was behind Holmes, Adams, Martin, D'ath in the league below...

He wasn't behind any of those players. You, like Rob Page, seem to have mistaken Hoskins for a wide midfielder. He's a centre forward FFS!

He was behind Richards, Collins and Marquis last year, though he was also given a two and a half year contract extension in February of last season as a result of the performances he had put in and the potential he had shown. And that is exactly what he is, a 23 year old striker with a great deal of potential.

Under Page, he has played the sum total of 0 minutes up front this season. In spite of the fact that LITERALLY everyone can see Richards and Revell does not work and that we have been cryng out for a forward with a bit of pace. When moved into an central attacking midfield role he produced his best performances this year and we actually won three games in a row too, before good old Rob "remembered" that he belongs out wide, penned back into his own half.

I'm pretty sure even players of the calibre of Billy Clarke / Matt Taylor (Rovers) / Lee Gregory/ Cody McDonald /Dominic Calvert Lewin/ John Akinde/ almost any other centre forward you want to think of would have struggled to have looked good and scored goals if they had spent the entire year playing out wide in an ultra defensive 4-5-1 formation.

He needs to be given an opportunity to compete for a place up front or just in behind the forwards. I am hoping this is one of the frst things JE will address.

Bit harsh comparing me to Page. Could have at least said Wilder who only played him behind the striker (competing with Holmes, Adams, Martin and D'ath). If he showed an ounce of being a natural striker, the previous two managers would have played him there when we've been screaming for more pace up front. Sadly his end product lets him down massively.

With his pace and work rate, I reckon he would be a decent goalscorer for a mid table league two side.

Sorry, but wrong again.

When picked, he played very much up front, though towards the very end of the season he did play a few games in a slightly deeper lying role off the main striker. A similar but more advanced version of the role he played really well in during the few games he has been given there this season btw.

Care to name when Holmes, Adams or Martin ever played either of these positions?

Ideally , we need a good right winger , unless Anderson starts to pull his finger out .
Then Hoskins could play where he is most effective , running at people from deep in the centre .
He was a revelation playing there , but it would mean playing one up front .
Eventually , I think Hoskins will be a sub that gets brought in when 2 up front isn't working .
He is not a centre forward in a two .
If he was , CW or RP would have played him there already .
His finishing in training must be poor which is why he doesn't get considered .

if you play up front, you have to provide some sort of goal threat.

hoskins doesnt.

For evers and owl
BOT is also an IT term for a program that does automatic tasks. This is why you sometimes have to type out a number or tick a box when signing up to websites etc to prove you are not a bot.

I saw that also - am surprised the Owl(blue polo) did not go for the logical choice (as outlined above). Confused as to how Marquis arrived at his choice. I like the sound of "bot" sounds very avante-garde. What will Coolie think?
