For the 150,000th time, there is a massive difference between L1 & L2, particularly when it comes to the level of mobility required in the middle of the park.
You live in Cookoo land!
Massive difference...yeah, come back when we cruise League Two!

Loved Matty Taylor...loved the song Everytime we had a free kick!

Well, legs gone, past it as a pro, good riddance said me. Had a stellar season and won player of the year at Swindon apparently, so it just shows you. Sorry Matty, I take it all back, talking out of my arse again.
Jesús Christ, I thought it was just a nice little concession and credit to the bloke having done well and we’re all having a punch up over it? I’m sorry everyone lost their temper, I won’t mention him again. FFS!

I think he ended up at Swindon due to location, he lives near Oxford.

Having talked to people near to him, that did restrict/limit his options when he was looking for his 'swan-song' club.

Massive difference between League 1 and League 2 Huh?

I thought people just use that line as a way to justify their team not doing very well,

How many times have we seen a team get promoted from League 2 and finish fairly high in League 1, a few!

The style of play and the tactics the team plays is the important thing, maybe at Swindon they played in a way that suited Matty Taylor.
Other clubs aren't so accommodating and sign players to force them into their style style of play and when it doesn't work a player who was good when he was signed can look average.

As with all ex Cobblers i wish them well in the future, it may not always work out for them here but at the end of the day players, managers, coaches and the like will come and go.

Take care,
Luke.

Good post - defacto there is not much difference between 1 & 2 - certainly at the bottom and top respectively

Matty Taylor was class - yes a little older and no longer perfect but being managed by dreadful managers who didn’t have a clue how to get the best out of him (or indeed any other players in the squad)

Good luck to him and over 2 seasons I think Swindon’s gain is our loss

That’s your opinion and not everybody agrees with you. Your judgement is very one sided and lacks perception. I would suggest that we had very little in our midfield to effectively replace him. Perhaps Swindon’s gain was our loss. Even a few goals and assists might have helped us!

Evers - this is why you irritate people (on the subject of Matty Taylor I agree with you) - but you always have this barbed comment to others that whilst its often a matter of opinion - theirs (if it disagrees with yours) is wrong, one sided or lacking perception - a little more respect for other people's opinion might help them take yours more seriously.
