Nothing on Twitter unless somebody has a link, or on club web site. Would keep him as he kept us out of the relegation quagmire last season. Or is this fake news?

I would be keeping him too, and I'd probably have him the team.

I do agree he is on the decline and cant do 90 mins week in week out,  but the difference with him is he knows what to do and what others need to do (granted he cant always pull it off anymore) but he is decent leader. Even hearing him 'coaching' from the bench its clear he knows his stuff.

Bad apple because he is attempting to assist JED?

Agree with this, he doesn't have the legs anymore, that's not his fault it happens to everyone. I am far from his biggest fan, but from sitting close behind the subs bench pre season he is great giving his advice and encouragement to the younger players. If JED does go, I wouldn't be against him as manager as the younger lads clearly look up to him and listen to his advice.

I am also far from his biggest fan but with the glut of midfielders we now have thought he'd be able to do a job from the bench this season. Put a few quality balls in the box in the final 20 minutes and not be relied to run the length of the pitch all game. I thought the Fleetwood game was crying out for something like this but JED went for McWilliams and we all know what happened then.

I may be.
Of course who knows what goes on behind the scenes? Are there little cliques? Older players, younger players etc? Players that like a manager, players that don't. Wilder had to unroot the bad ones maybe JED needs to do the same?
I remember touring Anfield in the Benitez era and the guide said that the shirts in the dressing room were hung in random order to stop little cliques happening, same for hotel roomates too.

I'm pretty sure that if he does go, some will proclaim that we have just let Ronaldo walk away to add to the JE digs.
I was a fan but he was clearly relied on far too heavily and over played last season. His set piece delivery and goals from free kicks certainly added a value.
You don't know what goes on behind closed doors but he has signed a lot of midfield egos to keep happy. Someone will be happy to have him.

Leader? My 4rse. He can go hug McCourt in the same division

I don't really get the bitterness towards the player himself. It was obvious last season that his legs were gone, but Edinburgh kept picking him week in week out, and there was an over-reliance on him taking everything and being one of very few outlets for scoring goals.

That said, in amongst our amazing stats this season its worth pointing out that he has played 63 minutes of one of the games and hasn't featured in the other three. So he can't really be blamed for our major failings so far can he?

I'm not pleased he's gone, but i'm not displeased he's gone either, at the end of the day it makes little difference in my opinion...rather him leave than O'Toole......unless that ones still to come!! With the amount of midfielders we have signed there was always going to be some movement out too.

I for one feel honoured to have seen him play for us. I haven't and guess I won't again see a Cobbler score such fantastic free kicks at this level. He was great with the youngsters too.

Best of luck with your next club Matty and thank you very much.
