Can't remember where or when so no claim to accuracy on it.
A bit like Rico's penalty  Grin

Sure I saw a stat somewhere that said about 80% of pens hit high actually miss.

I saw a stat somewhere that said 100% of pens hit too high actually miss.

Very close to a goal every other game in this spell. Mention him alongside Bayo, McGleish, Morley, Benjamin coz he is a Cobblers legend. Notched again yesterday, two at MK so still consistent, unlike Revell who's goalscoring record is erratic at best.
A fully fit Rico a much better option than Revell imho.

100% agree, looking at the stats he is getting a goal every 200mins, which is pretty good.

Big question as he is out of contract at the end of the season, injury prone and probably expensive. On the plus side, he knows where the back of the net is and is a huge part of NTFC and a natural leader. Would you keep him on for another year?

If it were me I would keep him on. Maybe offer him a player coach type role and is can be a stepping stone into management........maybe even with Cobblers as managers shelf lives are historically around 2 years so we will be due another change end of next season.

We were discussing this in the car on the way back yesterday.

I've gone full circle with Rico. I honestly thought he'd be a liability this season and to be fair, his early performances were far eclipsed by Revell. I actually said about the player/coach idea myself.

This last few weeks has been his best spell for us this time round. 94th minute aside at Walsall!  Grin

Today's goal for Rico was his 60th for NTFC and he has now entered the top 20 all time Cobblers goal scorers. He would be higher up if he put a few more pens away!

Still disappointed we let him go earlier in his career. Would've been great to have had him around for a real long time.
