Better highlights here, for the save and that goal where they just wandered straight up the middle:

Boateng is a class apart, let down by far less talented and forward thinking fodder yesterday such as Buchs and Taylor.
Sure he ain't 20 yrs old or whatever though!  Cheesy

Any one know why police patrols in West Stand?
When I saw the Army there as well as all the Plod, I thought they were expecting mega trouble.

Boateng is a highly promising player with natural talent. Generally a talented player will bring the best out of so called lesser talent. Yesterday I noticed that Buchs often put himself in a promising position in anticipation of involvement. One thing Boateng does is he naturally inclines to the right so to a certain extent the left is marginalised. Taylor did attempt many times to involve both left and right sides but was wayward with some of his passes. I also thought that Rico and Smithy went looking for the pass which at times did not materialize. So to call Buch and Taylor etc as "fodder" is poor judgement on your part and gross under estimation of their abilities.

I saw it very much the opposite, with Boateng time after time playing scintilating moves, only for said players to be way beyond the pace and thought, hence 'wayward' balls.
Surprised you didn't put 'Fact' after your 'poor judgement' comments!

No facts on here only opinions!

Very few of Boateng passes were actually to "space" but generally pinged to a player's feet. Nothing wrong with that tho', except that invariably those passes where to players with oppo' in fairly close attendance. If you watch Taylors passes (ones which come off) they do seem to take into account a players anticipation. You are quite right to laud Boateng who is a great asset for us and a potential match winner; where Taylor scores more brownie points than Boateng is that he appears to be ahead in the match winner stakes. As mentioned before Taylor's assists is  a vital ingredient to any success we might enjoy this season.

Taylor is a complete luxury in this side and it bacones more apparent week after week .
Opposition players stroll past him , especially in the second half of games .
Once again , I don't remember a meaningful challenge from him on Saturday and his passing was way off.
He is simply not up to playing every week in this side and should be replaced .

Agree, he just does not challenge enough for somebody in centre mid. Whether it's because he's coming to the end of his career and he's more concerned about getting injured I've no idea, but it's simply not good enough.

Other teams all realise this and literally walk through central midfield late in games .
We will be picked off time and time again .
We have won against two poor teams . Others will crucify us .
