I reckon Eardley could do a decent job in the holding role.

That's not a bad call mate - I remember reading that eardley has also played midfield in his career.

That doesn't even factor in his goals.

He might be sh1t but its hard to argue with these numbers!

Yep makes any calls to drop him pretty redundant.  As you say that's without his goals.

Add also the fact that the next Cobblers players in the list are Boateng with 3 then McCourt and Beautyman with 2 assists!!!  Makes you wonder where we would have been without him.

What's the definition of an assist then? Serious question. I thought an assist was awarded to the previous player to touch the ball. We've scored 35 goals not including Taylors assisted goals. Hiram second on three?..

If fit I would bring Williams in for Rico - I thought smith grew into the game on Saturday and Swindon is one of his old teams.
Williams has been great since his move here...but he's now back at Scunny!

Not all goals are credited with an assist...

I seem to remember people criticising our friend Rob Page for not rotating the team with two games in four days or whatever (granted it was a losing team) I think a couple of changes to just keep it fresh but nothing major.

So Zakauni and Revell posibly back for Saturday but Williams may have his loan cut short after his knee issue. Sad that as he looked quite good. Swindon should bring a few surely even on a Tuesday night but I feel our crowd may diminish a little.

Win this and the relegation nerves will be eased slightly. They've only won once in 12 games so this is huge.

Might not make it on here tomorrow but I'll be here in spirit.

Cmon on Lads!!!!

Like for a penalty I understand, but someone decides if the previous player who touches the ball is awarded with an assist or not?... Seems a bit random.

I'd like to see both Eardley and Buchanan tried in that role. Wasted at full-back being decent footballers.

They'd get in each others way and leave a hole some where else on the pitch

Not on the League One assists list, no.

He's top of the League Two 'assists' table with 14.
