Adam Smith for me too, though special mention is due to Michael Smith, who worked his socks off today, pressuring their back line and having a great tussle with Ferdinand, who spent the whole game pulling Smith's shirt down his back to stop him jumping. The lad's defensive contribution is immense and I really like the way he tracks back and defends the edge of the 6 yard box from corners and set pieces. He's looking sharper by the game and I am sure his first goal is just around the corner.

Boateng
Really? Game of opinions I suppose, but he wasn't top 10 for me.

Definitely Michael Smith. Great hold up play and movement. Can't see him being much of a goal scorer but he does everything else well. Wylde was really good and our most dangerous player, can't see why he was subbed. If he'd have been in McCourt's positions late in the game we might have got something. Brilliant free kick from Taylor, shows why he's selected.
