And this is where Cobbler78's theory falls down totally as recent form is a lot better indication to "easier" games than overall league position.
But is it really? If Sheffield Utd lose their next 4 and Coventry City win their next 4, who would you rather we faced next?

The thing is, Sc***horpe aren't the 3rd best team in the division, on current form they and Charlton were the two worst teams ! I saw both our matches against Scunny and if you took Josh Morris out of the team they would be mid table at the best.
got to agree I thought scunny were very average in both our games and easily beatable unless they were just having off games

At least he has a theory. All you have is your inane repetitive babble.
Unfortunately, some people's lives revolve around picking apart other people's thoughts and ideas. The are too busy focussing on the negatives they forget to think for themselves. Just flick through a few threads on this board, they stick out like a sore thumb.

Unfortunately some people's lives revolve around stats too. I used to be like that a right statto, however my take on the glorious game is now one of misty eyed enjoyment. And my take on possible relegation is that we may get days out in Nottingham, Lincoln and Blackpool! However I do want us to stay up as that of course will be the minimum success for this season.

Recent form usually takes into account the last 6 games and yes if sheff u did lose 4 to 6 in a row and Coventry won 4 to 6 in a row I would rather play sheff u!

So just for clarity as I know you struggle to take other peoples ways of thinking onboard. I would rather we be playing Sc***horpe than Bury (as an example). http://www.footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?task=formguide

What you have done there is taken the most extreme example possible. Oldham were below us in the table but on a good run of form Charlton were above us but in very poor form. The results speak for themselves...

One thing I am sure about, is that f we don't sort our defending out. we WILL go down, We score first and within mins the score is 1 -1 That is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Indeed they do speak for themselves, as I've always said, we are much less likely to pick up points against the top ten than against the rest of the league, this was the case under Page and even more so now under JED.

What a massive contradiction as Oldham are bottom half!!!

Whatever - if we win the next 2 matches (fair chance) then we are nearly over the safety line. That is all that matters this season.
