Whoever takes over, its looking more like JFH, lets leave the Champagne football on ice until safety is assured and the present squad can be trusted, yes Jeds formations were bewildering but the professionalism of those in the claret was way short of what you'd expect. I also hope the young guns get given more game time, lobjob and licfannio can do no worse than Rico and Revel.

If JFH can maintain his career stats for us over the rest of this season we will finish on 65 points.

That would've seen us finish 11th last season. Think I'd take that!

What would we have got if JED had continued to produce his career stats?

A big fat zero - P46 W0 D0 L46 - based on his record for 2017/18 so far

I make it 67 points. Not that it really matters!

When the calculation resulted in a fractional result I rounded down, a bit bit difficult to justify 0.426 of a win.

From Wiki looking at manager stats for last 6 managers it is interesting to note that the 2 least successful managers are both plying their trade with national teams and JFH pts per game is higher than the one and only Chris Wilder!
JFH 136 gms, 43.4% wins 1.595 pts/game CW 766 gms, 44.1% wins, 1.567 pts/game GJ 961 gms, 40.2% wins, 1.446 pts/game JED 486 gms, 39.5% wins, 1.442 pts/game AB 367 gms, 36.8% wins, 1.368 pts/game RP 132 gms, 35.6% wins, 1.295 pts/game

Was trying to work out where the difference was in our calculations for points for the season. Only way I could see was if you had calculated over 41 and not 42 games. Doesn't matter anyway, I'd be happy with 60+ points at the end of the season!

This thread can be closed.
We are going to finish mid table. Jimmy is the man we've been waiting for since Wilder left.
We've had the right players since start of season, JED was just the wrong man putting square pegs in round holes.

Jimmy will get the best out or a squad that should survive the drop but I cant see anything other than a hard fought relegation battle ahead. Thats not saying we're a bad side more that this division is looking tough, there's at least 15 clubs that expect a playoff position as a minimum and 8 fighting for survival of which we're one, at this time. We should accept it and get into a proper mind set for the battle ahead, every goal scored or point earned could be the one that saves us. We need to hope and I believe we can do, put a bit of distance between us the bottom four come Easter. Exciting times indeed.

Still very confident we can finish above Gillingham and Wimbledon. Probably Oldham as well? We're lucky that there are some other very very poor sides in this division (as well as ourselves). Saturdays game is already a massive one.
Must admit my surprise that Plymouth are struggling so badly though. I thought they'd be a top half side in League One.

Itll be 4 from the bottom 9 so please show all the basket cases as we will all be playing musical chairs from now until May. Cobblers surviving on goal difference looks unlikely now.
