We need to stay within one win from safety before January, which remarkably despite our poor form, we still are (ignoring games in hand). However the four remaining games of this year I can only see us getting a maximum 3 or 4 points and that's me being optimistic.

FootballWebPages predict that we won't win another game this season!!!!

Maybe delete that website from your bookmarks?

A decent win which pulls us out of the relegation zone.

It's still fairly tight down there, with only 6 points separating 23rd from 17th.

We will need to tighten up defensively ready for a challenging round of games which includes Blackburn (twice in 30 days), Wigan and Bradford. The Doncaster game is a potential relegation 6 pointer.

If JFH gets the recruitment right then we should be much more multidimensional and competitive by January.

It looks like 6 poor teams at the bottom maybe 7 if you include Doncaster. We'll need to take points off these in the second half of the season to give us a chance.

I don't think any above that will drop although I note Fleetwood, MK Dons and Blackpool are on a poor run of form with the inconsistent Bristol Rovers. A lot can be said for points on the board as we found out last year so i think these teams will be OK.

A win against Doncaster is probably our best option for picking up points before the window reopens. Anything from Blackburn, Wigan and Portsmouth would be a bonus.

The window won’t be our saving grace .
Every club in the division is thinking the same thing .
Current players need to play better .

It's an incredibly tight league. We're only 6 points behind Walsall who are 11th. A small winning run would be enough to see major progress in to mid table.

I will believe it when it's happened. I read on here we were playoff bound after beating Oxford. We will see.

The 52 points look a long way off at this time, any recruitment should be soley to dig us out the hole we're in, get some tough tackling midfielder , a winger who can cross the ball and is defensively sound, a big ugly hard working striker who can hold it up, lay off the ball well and has a dozen goals in him.
There are dozens of old stagers currently over looked in the championship who will not get a contract renewal and will be looking to earn a contract elsewhere,

52 points, not a hope in hell with JFH at the helm.

Difficult to argue against that at the moment...

looking hard for possitives here, we have 12 games against equally poor sides that are also knocking around the trap door, these games need to be treated as cup finals and the club need to rally the supporters to turn up.
It would help by dropping the ridiculous hike in match day prices and offer 3 specific crunch  games at £45.00 for 3 match block.

It would also help if the manager and team managed to do their jobs against teams struggling around us in the table. How many of our worst (there are lost to pick from) games have been against relegation threatened teams?

We have 23 points with 20 games to go and our Goal Difference is significantly worse than the majority of our relegation rivals.
In the last 5 League 1 seasons you've needed between 50 and 52 points to end up 20th (the place above relegation).
To achieve this we need at least 27 points from 20 games. That's mid table form (8 wins, 4 draws and 8 defeats get us 28 more points).

The odds are stacked against us. Where's the Chairman ?
