Not sure what you have done above, but as always your opinion is appreciated. Perhaps you are right JFH should have countered this with another midfielder! However, my feeling is that with at least 3 players having at best a mediocre game 2nd half was perhaps, in my opinion, the reason why we went back and back. As you might recall I mentioned that I thought that Ash Taylor might have taken a more proactive role. Good to hear from you.

I think our biggest problem this season is John Joe, when he doesn't play or has a poor game then we tend to really struggle as a team. What we need is for JFH to find another player in the squad who can take over the role of getting everyone fired up when JJ isn't playing well. If we can do that we have the team with more than enough quality to survive and even do well. I would say that Crooks would be the obvious choice and maybe an arm around Crooks by JFH telling him how important he is to the team and how he can be the man to push the team up the table and that he relies on him might work. Then again I could be completely wrong but thats how it looks to me.

We are in real trouble with Oldham picking up points .
Those three games against Rochdale ,Gillingham and Oxford were crucial.
We got one point from nine and we’re nowhere near good enough in two of the games .
Defensively we look worst than ever with Bunney in the side and Turnbull average at best .
Long looks shot and JJOT , along with Grimes is way off form ( plus teams now snuff JJOT out )
We have got a lot of work to do to stay up and I don’t think the manager is in control of his team as much as he should be .
There’s got to be a big turnaround to save us in my opinion .
We have blown it at home and it’s nothing to do with the fans Jimmy !

Oldham always seem to stay up and must be the longest serving team in this league.

AFC Wimbledon seem to have knack of picking up results and I think they might be OK. If their finishing was any good they probably would have beat us the other week.

I would be surprised if any of the bottom 3 teams were able to catch us up although our recent form has been worrying.

Our game against Fleetwood is crucial but we've never got a result there

Apart from good performances in 5 or 6 games this season we have been truly awful this season and can't have any complaints if we go down.

If we maintain our form of the last eight games, we will finish with 54 points.

Agree with most that it is unlikely the bottom three will catch us, so it will be a battle between Fleetwood/AFC/Oldham/Blackpool and ourselves.

Crucial times, if we get a win on Saturday hopefully we can go on a nice little run and be safe before we know it.

I fear it will be an end of season showdown between us and Oldham.

If we maintain our form of the last eight games, we will finish with 54 points.

If we maintain our form of the previous 35 games (the whole season) we'll end up with 50 points.

If we maintain our form of the past 10 games (since the turn of the year) we'll end up with 55 points.

If we maintain our form of the past 31 games (since JFH has been in charge) we'll end up with 52 points.

If we maintain our form of the last game we'll end up with 49 points.

Having another look the fixtures here, a lot of big games for the teams above us against the others in the relegation fight, will hope for some favours.

You keep going on about Rochdale etc. Then you tell everybody the number of points gained. You then take time to criticize Bunney, Long, Turnbull, Grimes and even include JJOT after one game. Added of course to these unfortunates is of course, JFH.It is fairly easy following your general theme of despondency that you are are not a true NTFC supporter but a false one. In none of your diatribes do your offer any positive opinion or even any hope. Regarding the fans; there is a tremendous difference in attitude at away games in direct comparison with the Home games with some taking to booing.

Having had a good look at everyones games, I think the bottom 3 as now will go, then I think it will come down to any one from us, Fleetwood, Oxford and Blackpool with my favourite for the drop being Fleetwood, though would love it if Poxalona went.

I know I'm rising to the bait but I can't let this go - it's truly nonsense to suggest the definition of a true fan is their level of positivity or negativity - much as absolute negativity is somewhat depressing it simply represents an opinion (right or wrong), and equally unqualified positivity is an opinion.

Neither define if the individual is a true fan - take the case of a team rock bottom dozens of points adrift of safety - I'm sure the majority of their realistic fans would have far more negative than positive things to say - it's called reality and does not make them non-real fans.

We have had a dreadful season and my observations don't suggest much of an improvement in either playing style, attitude or points tally - therefore my conclusion is that staying up is very much in the balance.

The form book goes out of the window a bit now, remember some of the games we won a few years ago under Wilder at the bottom of league 2.

For me its any 4 from Doncaster down.

You might consider being little more liberal in your opinion of others particularly those who happen to have a different take on things. On the hand, if the 'hat' fits ..........................

What is a fact is if we maintain our form of the last three home games in which we were dire ( and not that much better at Sc***horpe where they should have won ), we are going down .
And if we go down ,JFH has a lot to answer for with that budget and those players .

Judging by the Oxford Forum they seem to think they are really in trouble so I have no hesitation in including them also. More the merrier!

Absolute rubbish .
I post a lot of positive comments about players on here when credit is due .
The reality is some supporters speak the truth and others won’t take any criticism of the club at all because it’s their club .
Get real - this is football not a kids nursery .
