we have 8 points in the bank on Rochdale that they wont claw back from their 4 games in hand so when Rochdale play fleetwood we need a Rochdale win.

4 poxy wins in the next 11 games is hardly asking for too much, still needing 2 wins in the last 5 might get uncomfortable.. Anyway train booked to fleetwood, might as well enjoy the run in.
4 'poxy' wins out of eleven is still a fcuking boatload better average than the ten we've got from the last 35, so who knows if it's too much too ask for?
If Fleetwood played Dale today and one team had to win, I wouldn't disagree with you.
Dale won't claw back eight points from four games? Unlikely I'd agree, except they don't need to, they have fifteen games in which to claw back eight points on us.

Why don't you actually think about stats before posting? They are thirteenth..,and? We have a game in hand over them, 6pts behind...and yet to play them - leaving it to a degree, in our hands.
We need to catch teams above us, irrespective of what Dale or Bury do or don't do!

I politely agree with your comment! Wink

Blackpool have all sorts of off the field issues and just a few points ahead of us. Be interesting to see how they do in the next 3-4 games.

A mixed bag of results today. Rochdale don't look dead and buried after all, Wimbledon are finding some wins. Oxford and Blackpool could be the fall guys. We need to get some points from the upcoming back-to-back home games but they are going to be very very tough. Rotherham have been flying so it will be interesting to see how they react to their shock defeat to Dale. They'll be thinking they can't lose to two relegation threatened teams and then there is Shrewsbury who have defied the critics all season. 4 points will be an excellent return. We really do need to find a win in at least one of them.

It will be difficult to sustain it playing Saturday/Tuesday for the rest of the season. At some point it will catch up on them. But if they do get out of trouble they will have deserved it.

Only because MK didn't play  Wink

I'd even fancy MK to get a point at Bradford the way the Bantams have been at home this season!!!

Bury, Dongs, Blackpool and Rochdale all at home on Tuesday.....in fact Rochdale have got three home games in a week, against Southend, AFC Wimbledon and Fleetwood. A couple of wins there would really do them a favour! The way they are going, and the way we play at home, I could see us and Dale level on points a week on Tuesday.

The one thing that's stick out in all those figures , and I know it's been said before, is the dismal goal difference we have. Only Bury have anything like ours, we're not going to reverse a ten goal swing .

Agreed...and thats why we are going to need a point more than the likes of Fleetwood, Rochdale, Oldham etc.

I think we're going to need 52 to be sure of staying up.....so that's 13 points from 10 games needed. Fleetwood and Rochdale must aim for 51 points, 13 points from 11 and 19 points from 14 games respectively.

Definitely agree with you, I would go as far to say , we just need to aim to win games and not worry what the others are doing. Easier said than done, I know.

I think they've all had there moments except Mathis & Bridge. Van Veen is injured so hardly fair to judge. Remember Bunney's first two games when he had two assists, people were raving about him. Also, O'Donnell is as good if not better than Ingram.
