So the general consensus is that we need an improbable 4 wins (12 points) from 7 games. Our most recent 7 games have yielded just 4 points (all draws) so current form suggests we have no chance. The 7 games prior to that however, yielded 13 points (4 wins, 1 draw). So we have fairly recently been able to achieve what we now need but am I confident??? NO.

You'd be about right Wadey though I'd be happier with 5 wins 55pts.

Judging by the fixtures some clubs have that is bottom 8 or 9; in fact some clubs have absolutely stinkers in their last three games! Whatever the doomsday boys think it is still in our hands! I would not be surprised if 51 PTS is sufficient.Still onto the next game. Roll Eyes

But won't every club think the same....its still in their hands too!! If they all won all of their games we'd be down....so its not actually in our hands at all!!!

Its a very mixed bag of fixtures left for some....for example once Oldham get Wigan out of the way have they got a real toughie in their last 9 games? AFC also have Wigan but would look at the rest as winnable. Oxford have a tougher run in....still to play all of the top 3, but then they have 5 points more than us, a better GD and have three games in hand.

Before the Shrewsbury game we had nine games left.

Splitting into blocks of three, I was thinking four points from each block will leave us with 51 points, which should (hopefully) be good enough to keep us up.

Simple !

So win on Friday v Charlton will put us on track with your survival plan?
Well Im buying into your theory as its the last one standing.
I've gone from 90% relegation certainties to 70% on reading that.. and I will turn up at Sixfields with a little more hope😉

If Jimmy was binned and someone like Alexander in the hotseat I could see us winning maybe 3-4 of the last games which maybe enough, if he's still here I think we will finish either bottom or 23rd take your pick.

Well done Portsmouth. If we do go down it would be nice to take MK and Oxford with us.

Alexander would be interesting. V. surprised they've sacked him given they're 5th in the league.

We are the worst team in the league .
If we don’t finish bottom we will have done well.
Poor football all season and too many players with no bottle .
Maybe Jimmy can see why people booed now . It was deserved

What will you do if we do the unlikely and stay up?  Run up gold street in nothing more than your socks and a smile?

Not the worst.....

Bury & Wimbledon are even worse than us.  A toss-up about MK & Oldham.  Maybe even Walsall & Blackpool?

Still plenty to play for......  and, no, I am not "Cecelia" in disguise......
