I don't think three is enough with all the games in hand others have.

There are so many 6 pointers left its too tough to work out!!
We still have Blackpool, Walsall, Bury and Oldham left......all of whom we could still finish above.
Rochdale have 4 games in hand but more difficult fixtures left.....we still have 4 of the bottom 9 in our last 5 games, they only have 3 of the bottom 9 in their last 9 games.
Oldham have FIVE of the bottom 8.......The Wombles have three but the Dongs have none!!
Given that Bury are pretty much down, we need to finish above three others.....its hard to pick which three.....

I am starting to wonder if relegation is in our best interests.
History shows we're a League Two club - and our finances, infrastructure and fanbase usually allows us to be a 'top end' side too. Two seasons watching us struggle to compete against teams so vastly advanced than our selves has me craving being the a 'bigger fish' again.
If we manage to stay up by some exciting miracle... I am almost certain our saviours will be sacked before Christmas with a new manager brought in for some further fire fighting.

In our history haven't we spent slightly more in league one than league two? If this is the case then History suggests our level is League One.

I'm not sure, I only really started going in the mid 90's... and we've been rarely anything more than basement in that time period. In the past couple decades it really does seem like we struggle whenever we get to this level.

I'm sat at work bored out of my brain so just looked it up (only on Wikipedia though so not sure how accurate)
1 season in the top flight 2 in the Championship 54 in league one - if Div 3 south is included 33 in league two

I think this season and last most of our problems have/are self inflicted.

I've no issue with us going down, I think it could be a benefit in the long run - it will all hinge on appointing the RIGHT manager though.

I think this probably demonstrates how poor the Sixfields era has been if we've been performing below average consistently since we moved in. In my era watching, the entertainment seems to deteriorate once we get to this level.

Since we moved to Sixfields I make it,
14 Seasons in League 2 10 Seasons in League 1.
Worryingly though looking at our league one finishes they have been;
4, 22, 18, 20, 24, 14, 9, 21, 16.
Only two top half finishes makes for grim reading.
