Absolutely.. but to sow the final seeds of desperate hope, on 2 occasions this very season we have won 3 consecutive league games...

If we're down by the Oldham game, and let's be honest it looks likely, then I suggest just going all out hostile on them. Just dogs abuse at them all.

I bet some people will still run on the pitch in celebration at the end of the Oldham game, which is a real shame as the players deserve to do a lap of dishonour, with mouldy fruit and veg raining down from the stands.

I like to crack nuts at Christmas and watch The Two Ronnies.

Some of our players need a kick of the nuts for playing like a load of Ronnies.

As for our season.... it's goodnight from me and goodnight to it.

Most of "that lot" are surely being honest, truthful and realistic aren't they? They're long suffering supporters, like yourself, and are fed up of false dawns, false promises, false expectations, and....now.... have.....had......enough.

I disagree with yr comments, your mixing up honesty etc with the ‘give ups’! Some even use the poor form as an excuse not to go even to the home games!
TO confirm they have sold over 400 tickets. Clearly relatively few agree with you!

So, its goodbye Bury, they have been relegated. A win for the Cobblers but other results going against them.
Rochdale and Oldham play each other on Tuesday......a draw would be best for us.....and with Wimbledon playing Oldham on Saturday thats another 6 pointer.

We need 48 points at least to stay up......anything less will see us relegated for sure........48 is the minimum target and thats with all other results going in our favour. If there is a winner in the Dale v Oldham game then our target goes up to 49 mathematically.

After todays games......

17. Oxford 50*  (-5)         A v Wigan, A v Donny, H v Rochdale, A v Blackburn
18. Wombles 49*   (-11)   H v Oldham, A v Wigan, A v Doncaster, H v Bury
19. Walsall  48*  ( -11)     A v Scunny, H v Cobblers, A v Bradford, A v Fleetwood
20. Oldham 46**  (-14)    A v Rochdale, A v AFC Wimbledon, H v Southend, H v Donny, A v Cobblers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
21. Rochdale 45 ** (-8)    H v Oldham, H v Bradford, H v Plymouth, A v Oxford, H v Charlton
22. Cobblers 43    (-35)    H v Plymouth, A v Walsall, H v Oldham
23. Dongs 42 *      (-19)   A v Southend, A v Bradford, H v Scunny, A v Shrewsbury
24. Bury 30*         (-31)  A v Doncaster, A v Shrews, H v Pompey, A v AFC Wimbledon

(GD in brackets)

* = games in hand

Coming up......

Tuesday 17th

ROCHDALE  v  OLDHAM ATHLETIC
Wigan Athletic  v  OXFORD UNITED

Saturday 21st

AFC WIMBLEDON  v  OLDHAM ATHLETIC
Doncaster Rovers  v  OXFORD UNITED
NORTHAMPTON TOWN  v  Plymouth Argyle
ROCHDALE  v  Bradford City
Scun7horpe United  v  WALSALL
Southend United  v  MK DONS

Tuesday 24th

Bradford City  v  MK DONS
OLDHAM ATHLETIC  v  Southend United
ROCHDALE  v  Plymouth Argyle

Good stuff GPC. I think any of the clubs down there would be unlucky to go down with 52 points.

Hope we can keep it alive with a win over Plymouth - then it really would become interesting.

There were plenty of groans on the way out of Gigg Lane when Wimbledon won it late, but taking form and remaining games into account I think Walsall look in trouble. Rochdale winning was a stinker for us, though.
