When is the last time we won 4 on the trot? How incredible it would be, totally erasing the nightmare of Dumb and Dumber. If we come close it’ll make the nightmare seem worse.
We last won 4 on the trot during the Championship season Feb 2016, it was actually 10 on the trot finishing at York on 23rd Feb. Since then the best winning sequence has been 3 - once under JED, twice under JFH.

A new sense of hope has emerged and its refreshingly good, but, until Walsall, Oldham and Rochdale have all lost on Tuesday, only then can we dare to dream the unthinkable.

So, a big night ahead with Oldham at home to Southend and Rochdale at home to Plymouth.
Anything less than two wins is good for us, but if both manage to pick up three points it does mean that only two wins from our last two games is good enough...anything less and we are down. Rochdale would have 50 and Oldham 51 and Wimbledon already have 50, and we could only manage 50 with a win and a draw. Our very negative goal difference could yet see us relegated.
If results go against us tonight we could yet beat Walsall and send them down with us....not instead of us!

I think if Walsall go down, I'd rather go down as well Coventry, Walsall, MK and Macclesfield away days would be a dream scenario for me.

Can Southend take their weekend form to Oldham? Surely Plymouth must be better than they showed at the weekend? This season has really worn my optimism away as I can see Oldham and Rochdale both winning tonight

Fancy Oldham to win but reckon Dale will drop points again.

Plymouth had their kick up the jacksie on Saturday and will need to perform better if they still have hopes of the play-offs. Southend have nothing really to play for however they may want to impress Chris Powell for next seasons contracts with a bit of luck. A nervous night...

Two home wins from Oldham and they should be safe before we play them. Could six points for them work to our advantage, if they have the deckchairs out a week Saturday?

Things will look a lot different later this evening, hoping neither oldham or Rochdale get a win which puts things back in our own hands. I hoping oldham come to Sixfields looking for a draw and we need maximum points as that could play into our hands.

I think we could still go down even if they both lost tonight and we won our last two? We'd only be guaranteed to jump Oldham.

Correct. Two loses tonight only puts Oldham back in our hands.

Assuming we win both, I believe Walsall have to be our best chance to overhaul as they would need 4 pts from 2 away games then oldham not winning any of their final games. Still very difficult for us but would love to go into final day with it still being 2 from a posible 3 and a win would save us. 6/1 long odds but certainly given ourselves a fighting chance and some memorable matches as we head to Nailsworth😉

Looking at the teams selected by Plymouth and Southend tonight it's a bit of a contrast. Plymouth have gone for exactly the same 11 that played us with the exception of sarcevic for Paton which was enforced due to injury - hopefully there will be a reaction after our game. Unfortunately after southend's impressive win at the weekend they've opted to change things - whether to freshen it up or down to injuries who knows.
