Hello darkness my old friend.

Sadly confident that this thread will be busy for the next 8 months.

So depressingly predictable. Come on Kelvin. Open your wallet and give us a chance.

Pinched from Twitter - we need 18 points from 18 games to get us to 51 points which should be enough to keep us up, how depressing that it has come to this - scrambling to avoid relegation from this poxy league.

Spent much time in Northampton over the last 50 years Irchy, it always comes to this. The most likely scenario is that we will drop out of the league in the next 3 years. I personally think that given our history it’s nothing short of amazing we haven’t already? Melancholy is the go to shared emotion of the entire support base and has been since I can remember.

Granted we’ve had some extremely close shaves in the 30 plus years I’ve been a supporter and the feeling is we might be on borrowed time but I’d like to think that somehow there are going to be 2 worse sides than us. I know there are those who say it might be the best thing for us to go down in order to return stronger but for every Luton there’s a York and I fear that there’s not much of an appetite for non league football in the town.

Look mate, you’re not the only one who has had enough of the current regime but don’t go twisting and manipulating people’s posts to suit your view - I didn’t put anything of the kind in my post and you know it. Like the majority on here I haven’t a clue how this will or should play out but just because I don’t see the prospect of fan owned as being particularly enticing don’t go putting words in my mouth.

Beat Morecambe and we'll be fine, which Im sure we'll do with ease.
Lose and we have officially entered the relegation scrap with 4 others.

Never understood that thinking. How on earth can it be good for us or any other club to go down. There were fans on this very board that said that last season. If we dropped into the Conference the drop in income would be a bigger catastrophy than last seasons relegation
