Hence what we are playing the most negative football with a team full of defenders .
It’s belt and braces so that we don’t get dragged into it .
If we hadn’t got those 4 away points it would be looking precarious.
I just personally think he went too far on Saturday and 3 points was possible

You might be right that KC went to far on his defensive selection last Saturday, but surely it was governed by the absence of at least 4 senior players. The problem on Saturday was that but for JJOT efforts in midfield the midfield would have been totally overran. The result
was that Hoskins had precious little support up front. Is your point more about KC leadership than actual managerial decisions?

Hoskins and Daniel Powell are the most willing front players to close down .
I am convinced that’s the main reason they feature under Curle . It’s nothing to do with the likelihood of scoring a goal.
Surely he can’t field negative teams against Yeovil , Macclesfield and port vale at home ?

Even I agree with this now. The run since the horror 0-4 Col U defeat is a credit to KC and the players and a great response to the criticism they received then.
Another couple of wins then we’ll have a play-off watch thread..... Wink

If Bury and Bolton both go tits up, hopefully there will be no relegation this season.

The only way to guarantee safety with this pile of shite.

I certainly hope that neither Bolton or Bury hit the wall today.  I feel for the fans of these clubs but they should not worry as it often seems that at the last moment a 'white knight' comes over the horizon and saves the club.  I think that will happen in both cases today.  In any case I believe it would be dreadful if there were no relegation this season.  It would just give KT the perfect excuse to simply play out the season and to allow the club to simply tread water for another 12 months.  No need to strengthen the squad, little point in considering changing the manager and therefore incurring additional expense in paying up his contract.  That in turn would mean a continuation of the dross we have seen so far.  As said, I hope both Bolton and Bury survive today if only to remove that 'safety net' from KT.

Even if these clubs come to an end I am sure 'phoenix' clubs will be born as happened in Aldershot, Wimbledon and Hereford (not sure if there are any other examples). Sometimes it may even be for the best especially when owners have sucked their clubs dry and left the original clubs in the doldrums. A situation we may all have to consider sooner rather than later. Our owners don't care about us and just want to milk the property opportunity. At the moment the club is £5 million in the red and no-one will pay that for us so our day is looming.

I have to say, from looking like they were ok going into the weekend to where they are now, I'm not so sure about Bolton. Bury at least have an iron in the fire but from the sound of the statement the club put out I think all of Bolton's hopes lay in the bid that fell through on Saturday. I hope I'm wrong, but I reckon at least one of the two will go today. Cry

.....and for me - I don't want that sort of safety net.

Mixed feelings on the Bury & Bolton stories - always 2 sides to a story and going back to our situation with Kidderminster where they clearly spent their money on building a team to finish top but ignored the football leagues stadium standard requirements -was it right they were denied entry and we stayed up?

300 people have turned up to Gigg Lane today with buckets and cleaning equipment to get the ground clean and ready to host a match should today go as hoped. Fair play to them; a proper set of fans doing what little they can to ensure the club survives.

Edit - the takeover has fallen through. I think that's them gone, unless the EFL relent and I don't see how they can.

They would lose all credibility if they did.
