I think it gives us a sense of how much more we expect from our football club, when I look back at what we have endured in the past, and now we are down to what would have been seen as nitpicking a short while back.
Whilst I totally understand the argument for keeping on top of these things. I'd hope that I understand it more than most. I do have to say that there is a certain hypocrisy around it all. KT is getting pelters for not getting things painted and missing some clear maintenance and upkeep issues. Whilst some are happy to extol the virtues of two fan run clubs, who's facilities are significantly inferior to ours, even in the current state. Both Portsmouth and Exeters grounds are definitely more run down than ours. I know Exeter are building their new stand, with the assistance of enabling money. But their ground and it's facilities are clearly inferior to ours in places. Likewise with Portsmouth.
I understand all of the concerns around NTFC, The Trust and the council. But it does help to add a sense of context to things sometimes. We have been limping along for as far back as I can remember, and that's a long time now. That in itself is absolutely the issue for some. But let's at least stop pretending that this is a new issue, or unique to us. I honestly think there are enough valid points raised, without get petty just because it bolster what you might see as a genuine argument.
I sit in my seat at Sixfields and use it as a distraction from everyday issues that bog us all down. I'm not even a particularly political type. But in the 45+ years that I have followed the club, I have never seen so many people with a personal agenda.
You talk absolute s***e...but clearly love yourself! Portsmouth's facilities clearly inferior to Fortress Sixfields...#stupidno1 Then after several paragraphs of blah blah, conclude that you sit in your seat at Sixfields as a distraction from everyday issues ffs!

Where you go wrong is your OTT moan at our facilities when compared with other clubs particularly in L2 and a few in L1 incl Oxford with its poor parking facilities, amenities and approach one way road.
Evers, I don't want to call you a twat...but if you can find a single post where I've complained about facilities at Sixfields, I'll buy you a new walking stick! I don't go wrong anywhere, just the incredulity at you and other bozos trying to claim Sixfields is better than Fratton Park...in any criteria! Next!

I didn’t think it would take you long to descend into your usual playground rant. I suppose I would gain a lot more respect had I adopted your self appointed mantle as expert on all things beer, pubs and away days. Oh... Don't let me forgot buses and trains .

Can we not just have a "Bear Pit" or playground banter area so the childish behaviour stays in one place and not on every thread?

Are the last of the Thomasites are feeling the heat? Lets shut down any questioning of Thomas's inability to get investment into our clubs redevelopment other than what he hopes he can extract from Northampton borough council! It's the redev thread that brings all the boys to the yard, and there chairman is better than yours.

Well I hope you & I don’t descend into name calling. I won’t call you a twat either but in some ways you have missed the point. Pompey is home to a famous & well supported club with decent atmosphere. Sixfields does not have these qualities; although when full it does have quite a decent one. You totally ignore the facilities and amenities at Pompey which are poor by any standard. As mentioned the amenities would disgrace a Roman barracks. It is virtually impossible to visit the loo and have a coffee at Pompey and Luton for that matter. In this instance you have missed the point as you are advocating Pompey on an emotional basis completely ignoring Tels point of facilities when compared with poor old Sixfields.

Not quite sure how you came to this conclusion, as the idiocy seems to stem from people on both sides of the Thomas In/Out camp. I for one have no issue with your opinion/continual use of the same reworded post (I welcome everyone having a view, no matter how different), but would prefer it to stay in one place so I don't have to trawl through a ton of Redev Posts/He said, She said/No, you are when I am trying to read about FOOTBALL. Match day threads, transfer threads, they all end up with the same bollocks in them at the moment.
