A few on here will know me, some well, I'm not the sort to spread a rumour for a bit of fun. I was wondering though if anyone else had heard of talk that a very wealthy money man is buying into Oxford Utd in a big way and Kelvin is returning as Chairman? If the amount of money being talked of is true he can hardly be blamed for taking the opportunity I guess it would leave things here seriously up in the air again if true. Probably (hopefully) nothing to it.

I'd rather he didn't leave but echo the sentiments if he does he does. It's been clear he's not around for the long haul since day one.

If its true and he goes I think most of us will be gutted but he owes us nothing just like wilder we owe them everything. Just for the fact we all are on here with our opinions about a club that nearly wasnt be here without them

Sorry if I'm appearing a bit thick. But why would he become chairman at Oxford? Surely, the new money man would become the chairman. Plus he would need to find a buyer here first, doesn't he? According to the radio today, all the directors etc were jumping out of their seats when we scored and at the end of the game, doesn't sound like people who are jumping ship.

This is where it seemingly gets a little cliched. I was told billionaire, possibly Russian, who wanted to buy Reading at one point. Wants to buy Oxford out right including the stadium. St Edmunds, I don't think we could come close to being anywhere near as attractive a proposition as the university City. He may have links with the University itself too. That's the lot, all I was told. Hopefully it's all bollo and Kelvin continues to try to untangle legalities here and do something with that monstrosity over on the East side.

Chairman/front man? I don't know but I certainly don't think you are being thick. Kelvin isn't the money here is he, isn't he just the front man ?

I think KT would like the fans to think he is just the front man but I think he is actually the money as well - which is why there isn't much of it

Still doesn't explain why he would like to be a 'front man' to an unknown Russian, that he doesn't have any connection with. Plus, as I said previous. He still needs to find a buyer here first, he can't just step down, can he? His consortium has still put a lot of money in, this will be lost if he walks away.

The club would be forced to pay back what he has put in, probably over a number of years. If we can't pay him we end up going to liquidation. Simples

So, he saves us from the brink to then put us back in trouble again? Somehow I don't think so, he says hopefully!

Because any money he has personally put in would need to be repaid. Unless, he agreed to waive it, which I doubt.

He has always stated that he is not the person who has put the money in. He is just the Chairman.
