I thought Keshi and P Anderson were the only players that looked like he could create something on Saturday. Other than him I thought we looked quite pedestrian and devoid of ideas in the final third.

I'm missing the point you are trying to make. Is it the reading or the comprehension part of my post you are struggling to understand? I'll point you in the right direction if you explain.

i dont remember keshi creating anything aside from one run and the most feeble finish ever?!................he was too busy bottling challenges to do anything else.

Says who? If we don't win again I still think we have enough points.
Again, you are wrong on both counts. Never assume!!

"I think" is different to stating something as a fact and assuming, it's just an opinion.

Keshi can only play off the shoulder . He is too lightweight as a deep player . I would play him with Rico personally and drop smith

I did say looked like creating chances 😁 It was a woeful game, especially the first half. Before Saturday, I can't remember ever watching a half of football where literally nothing happened.

IMO Keshi's main problem is that his decision making is extremely poor. 2 out of every 3 times he gets the ball he delays making a decision and ends up not making one at all, which results in losing possession, making the wrong pass or failing to shoot when he has half a chance. I'd say he's definitely short on confidence, but it may also be a simple lack of him having a 'footballing brain'.
If it is mainly confidence or a part of a game that can be improved with coaching then I would be inclined to keep him over Smith, as if he could improve in this area I think he could turn out to be a decent player. I'd still mainly use him as a sub striker next season though. I'd let either Smith or Rico go and invest in another out and out striker in the summer who would be the lone striker in a 4-5-1 formation, with Revell as the other back-up.

I'm glad you peeked over the parapet and said that. Players like Keshi can be so frustrating but they are capable of suddenly creating something from nowhere that gets the goal. I guess that's why managers persevere with these type of players and if they could turn it on every game they would be called Neymar.

Does 'suddenly' mean 'every few months'?

As î said on the Oxford thread. Keshi is a quick striker who plays on the last man. At the minute he's having to do a job for the team as he's the best of not very good options at the point of the diamond. I feel for him a little as he clearly showed, albeit against Coventry that he has an instinct for goals when played in the right areas.
Better than Gorre who was possibly the least prepared young player I have ever seen for the senior game.

I can't understand why Keshi Anderson continues to start games for us.
He has not scored in 10 games.
His overall record for us is 3 goals in 13 games. This from a striker who said when he joined the club that "when I get the ball, it's going in the back of the net".

He is absolutely crap - to be fair we were warned by the Bolton fans after his less than auspicious loan spell there.

Unlike last season all the loans this year have been pretty awful, with a lot of them in attacking positions who have failed to get the goals.

At this level the quality of loans is often the difference maker and it will be crucial for JED in the summer that he identifies a few gems that contribute on a consistent basis. Does anyone know if Andy Melville is still our director of recruitment - it all went quiet after page was sacked
