As explained at the top, this was announced on BBC Northampton with an interview with the player himself (about 4.40pm). Maybe this shouldn't have been announced until a later date. I have e-mailed Gareth Willsher, but as yet have not received a reply.

So, presumably with this French sounding name, the 't' is silent. Lovejoy it is then!

Reading the Coventry and Plastics forums , the lad looks like he has real talent . The issue seems to be attitude . Hopefully fatherhood has changed him . Definitely worth a punt . People on the Cov forum call him Kevin Thornton 2nd !!

Very interesting signing. Either going to be briiliant or a waste of space but definately worth a punt.

Certainly worth a punt. Let's hope it goes better than with Courtney Herbert.

shows what I know! Didn't Atkins get some criticism when signing Jamie Hand? Got a non league team to sign him from whatever league club it was so we could then sign him outside of window as a favour? Might have just imagined/fabricated that!!
I had never heard of this however it appears you are correct as the ever reliable Wikipedia ( ) states the following: Hand departed Watford after the closure of the January 2006 transfer window, joining Fisher Athletic who were not bound by the regulations of the transfer window. Without making an appearance for the club, he joined Northampton Town on loan for the remainder of the season in February 2006.[5] At the time, Fisher were manager by Justin Edinburgh, a former teammate of Northampton's then boss Colin Calderwood leading to speculation that the Fisher move had been used to exploit a loophole in the transfer window system.[6] Hand debuted in the 1–1 home draw with Leyton Orient on 14 February 2006 and helped the club secure promotion from Football League Two. However, he was not offered a contract by the Cobblers at the end of the season and returned to Fisher Athletic

You don't really warrant a response. But it was nothing to do with being a teachers pet, I simply wondered why it had been announced on the BBC but nothing official had been mentioned by NTFC - contacted Gareth to clarify the situation. Simple as that, not that I have to explain myself to you.

Important we are patient with this lad as he acclimatises to the pro game. Obviously has talent and knows where the goal is.
Best of luck Leon.
