Who would you keep?

JJOT
Adam Smith

Not sure how likely it is we will keep hold of them though.

I'm not sure who is out of contract or under contract etc but genuinely the players I'd keep or offer deals too are...

Diamond
Buchanan
P.Anderson
Rico
M.Smith
S.Hoskins
Aaron Phillips
Brendan Moloney
Matt Taylor
Luke Williams

Get Rid

Jak McCourt
Keshi Anderson
Hiram Boateng
Gregg Wylde
Neil Eardley
Rod McDonald (sorry Rod)
Harry Beautyman
Alex Revell
Emmanuel Sonupe
Raheem Hanley
Lewin Nyatanga
Gabriel Zakuani

I'm sure I have missed a few and I am sure someone with more knowledge than me can point out who is under contract.

Bit harsh on Zakuani who's by far our best defender when he's not on the physio's table. Not sure we can get rid of Revell who has one year left on his contract; don't think anyone is stupid enough to pay money for him.

Maybe so, but he must have a poor games played to wage ratio, is he worth the salary for 20 games per season?

Think beautyman is on a 2yr deal so we'll be blessed with his talents again next season

Hiram Boateng's deal runs out at Palace summer 2017. I think the same with Luke Williams, Gregg Wylde possibly has another year left at Millwall. Keshi Anderson, not sure.

I would think the ones that should go  Beautyman, Revell, Etc will stay, the ones that should stay O'Toole, Smith etc will go. Leaving us with....nothing of any use.

For some reason I've got a feeling that jjot will re-sign, hopefully it is obvious to him that he's unlikely to find another club where he is idolised like he is here - sometimes the grass isn't greener somewhere else. I'd love Adam smith to extend his contract with us and I think it would benefit the development of his career but I wouldn't be surprised if he left. I think people are being a bit harsh on revell - got to remember that he's still our 2nd highest scorer this season despite missing games through injury

Revell has been one of our better players and given that good forwards are always difficult to sign at a price we can afford I would keep him here.  Rico is more likely to depart unless we offer him a player/coach role.  Both of these players are in the twilight of their careers so something has to give somewhere. I hope Smith stays but I think he is will move on and warm the bench for a Championship club.

Writing about forwards above reminds me how we stupidly missed out on John Marquis.  Inexplicable.

I think Revell had a great first part to the season then a very poor second part prior to getting injured, Rico isn't getting any younger and despite Smith showing some good signs hes hardly looks prolific. if JJOT doesn't resign you have to wonder where the goals are coming from? Taylor's free kicks count for another big chunk but again there is no guarantee he will or we will want him to stay, other than the lad from Buckingham who we have no idea how it will work out.

Mostly correct I think.

Phillips only contracted until June 2018. Zakuani, we have an option of another year. Iaciofano will be offered professional terms & finally Leon Lobjoit contracted until June 2019.

Think that's it.

I don't think revell is the only one to have struggled in the latter stages of the page regime - hopefully fully fit and with a good pre season behind him will give us a decent option. Unfortunately as others have said I can't see Rico getting another deal unless there's some kind of player/coach option. If Paul Anderson finishes the season strongly I don't see why he wouldn't get offered something. Zakuani is a very difficult one - undisputably a leader and strong defender but has missed too many matches through international call-ups that he indicated wouldn't be an issue prior to signing and then to put the cherry on top got his injury while at the cup of nations.

Of the ones listed I'd let go/transfer list/allow loan to lapse:
Beautyman
Zakuani
Sonupe
Eardley
Nyatanga
K Anderson
Wylde
Boateng

Possibly let go:
Richards (if we can get a younger & quicker replacement)
M Taylor (may retire/wish to leave)
Hanley (can we rely on him if/when Buchanan gets injured or suspended)

Try to keep:
A Smith
O'Toole
Diamond
P Anderson
Williams (subject to fitness & wages)

I agree that Revell is well worth keeping and it's unlikely that Zak will miss as many games next season. I would also keep Rico as he's performed OK recently and I believe has a good influence on those around him.

Seriously!! Revell and Williams go but Sonupe and Hanley stay and 3 right backs for next season seems a bit excessive.

I reckon Taylor will stay for another year  Wink

Richard will get an offer,  but get a better and longer one at a L2 / Conf club

Paul Anderson dosn't fit the profile of player the JED said he wanted so can see him leaving.

Not sure Zak is that popular after his decision not to retire from International football and suspect JED will have his eye on better with Diamond the one to get an offer of the 3 current centre halves.
