Surprised a match thread hasn't been started yet. Perhaps all the furore of the return of Wilder and the clamour for tickets has overtaken the actual match.
This is our first home League match against the Blades since 15th April 1989, which was a very dark day in football as that was also the Hillsbrough tragedy. We've only ever played 3 home league matches against them and we've lost them all. Hopefully O'Toole will be fit and I'd like to see Moloney start and some game time for young McWilliams. We will have to defend well again as Billy Sharp is a predator and James Hanson likes scoring against us. It won't be easy but hopefully we can give them a good game and get a point or three in what should be a sell-out crowd and fantastic atmosphere. If they do secure promotion then I'm happy for them to have their celebrations, just as long as they're careful on our billiard table pitch.

One of the teams we've met on the fewest occasions I'd guess. Only 10 meetings between the teams, and we've managed one draw with the other 9 ending in defeat!!

Don't want to hear any CW songs in the stadium past 1.25pm! He only saved us and stormed the league to land the Blades job!

Oxford Utd are at Walsall tomorrow, so shouldn't affect us!

Hope we can stop them getting promoted today.

As much as everyone seems to want a Wilder love in, I want him crying as we obliterate them.

No hard feelings Chris, but we are JE's team now.

 Grin

I have massive love for Wilder, don't get me wrong, he was fantastic for us and likewise us for him as it got him his dream job.

For me, that all ends when the whistle blows at 3pm and it is JE and us vs him and the blades.

If we defend well and play route one football, I think we will get something from this game, I have great respect for what Wilder did here but THIS GAME THAT DOES NOT COME INTO IT. come on cobblers, don't lose it and a good game for Revel to come back to. I hope we win
it, but if not then get a draw.! COME ON COBBLERS!

Don't forget your caps/sunglasses for anyone sat in the East, wouldn't have seen any of the Oxford game without them!

Might have to put a bit of sun cream on as well, summer is here early!

I often found a cap essential when I used to sit in the East. I often wondered as I squinted at the play, why keepers don't wear caps nowadays?

I'm here, though not sure for how long. My internet is slower than the local interbred throwbacks today.
