Wasn't mentioned much on the radio, but a Millwall fan was taken ill and was receiving CPR in the stand while the game continued. Sadly, it looks like the treatment was prolonged and the stand was cleared and a sheet put up to give the fan some privacy. Millwall fans invaded the pitch to get the referee to blow the whistle for FT after he insisted on playing 4 minutes injury time.

Im sure we all wish the fan the best, and the disappointment of today's defeat is quickly made irrelevant when something like this happens. Hope they pull through.

Latest was that they did an outstanding job, he was breathing when he left the stadium on his way to hospital, amazing dedication by the Millwall staff...  Grin

I wasn't there today so I'm struggling to understand what we did to get so much praise from millwall fans. Anyone care to enlighten? It was in a different stand right?

We stopped singing, applause for the guy to wish for his recovery at the end of the game, called for the game to be stopped etc. I actually thought our fans were great and non abusive, despite some provocation throughout the game.

I still don't get it. Its a human reaction, nothing to do with football. It makes no sense for us to be congratulated by opposition fans.

Respect? You guys really don't understand do you. People shouldn't make a big deal to praise away fans for their good behaviour when a home fan falls ill. It shouldn't even need to be said, we are all humans. Yeah it all sounds good, but its a sad indictment on football as a whole to congratulate fans on good behaviour just because they don't support the team of the unfortunate person who falls ill.

As soon as our tough nuts arrived the support livened up. We did our fair share of provocation tho Shocked once it became apparent one of their fans was seriously ill that all stopped. They then gave their support to the Millwall fan. It was a courteous gesture and well received. Take my hat of to them!
