I doubt we will sign anyone that high profile
Someone young on loan is more likely.
Shouldn't have long to wait though as we are in desperate need of a defence!

The Skypete one looks dodgy but the other 2 have many 1000's of followers, so i am not sure. Others have also said they have found them reliable in the past

I've got nothing against Revell, I think he did pretty well in the first half of the season. I just think if an offer came to sell him on I'd probably take it and try and find a younger replacement to compete with Rico and possibly save wages at the same time. I just don't see the combination of Revell and Richards playing together working at all.

I think we probably broadly agree on this. IF an offer came in for Revell - on the assumption that he may be one of our higher earner - I would also take it and try for Smith if he is available. And I completely agree I don't want Rico and Revell to be a pairing ever again, thankfully we have more options now. However to compete for the Target Man role and back each other up through the season I'm fairly happy with them as the option.

There just seems to be a lot of 2+2=1500 going on this summer with Mansfield, Evans & Revell. In the same way that Sheffield United were going to sign half our squad last summer (they didn't) and we were going to sign all these players that JED had at Gillingham (we haven't...so far)

250K for Collins?  That is a ridiculous fee!

I think it would make sense to offload Revell if someone came into him and replace with a younger version. i like him but with Rico and Revell (both 34) and Bowditch (31) we have a very old forward line and the only other options are the youngsters and Waters who hasn't played at this level before.

Rico is the better player so yeah offload Revell if possible. If he stays fine but may be down the pecking order.

I see in the jack Marriott to Peterborough article their chairman says they turned down an offer from Bristol Rovers for Tom Nichols, if he was available and we have this extra money then he is a player I wouldn't mind seeing us put in a bid for.

Pretty sure we don't have that sort of extra money.

Didn't they only just sign him last season? Their turnover of players is a bit silly.

Went to school with Jack and played alongside him for years. Pains me to see him sign for them.

That's what is left on JEDs list. I think the Goalkeeper, 2 of the Centre Backs and the Defensive Midfielder need to be first team level - better than what we already have basically. For the 3rd Centre Back would be good to see us bring in a younger prospect who can provide decent cover to the other 3.

Quite a challenging list I think, let's hope this week's news helps clear the path a little
