If we're playing with 3 centre backs all season is think we need at least 5 on the books

Agree 100% with this but I still don't see us signing another for some reason.

I always got the feeling the extra attacking player was seen as a nice to have (by the club, not necessarily the fans) so I would say a new 'keeper is definite and a new attacking player if we can get the right one. If the right one isn't available we'll probably go with what we have until January

One or two in time for the first game of the season. The window is still open for a few weeks then isn't it? Andy Melville has done a great job so far this off season, I'll trust him and the club to continue in that vein.

I have to admit Shane, if somebody says " One or two" to me I always take it as three possibly four.

I'd take it as " I am looking at two signings but I don't want you getting your knickers in a twist if I don't get both my targets"

According to Twitter we've had a £150,000 bid rejected from Charlton for defender Harry Lennon... I've can't say I've heard a lot about him, but surely we don't need another defender?!

Gillingham have also had a bid rejected according to this...

Would be surprised if we still had that sort of money to spent that we would sign another central defender, would spend the majority of any money left on a number 10

Who knows what money is available to spend?

Could one of the know-it-all's clarify this or will you all continuously piss in the wind?

Why would a club our size announce their transfer budget.

I'm sure I remember hearing on the radio on the way to Cheltenham that we had signed Jamie Forrester on loan and he was in the squad.
That is correct, and I was also there. Standing on the open terrace, behind the goal, with a burger van blowing smoke and fumes across the goal.
When Jamie came on as a sub, my first thought was, f*** me hes small. Wheres his six mates? He turned out OK though. Cheesy

More recently I think we signed Marlon Jackson late afternoon on the day we had a night game at Wimbledon and actually started the match. Was very confused when the teams lined up as hadn't even heard the news of his signing!

So why all the expert comments on budget then? He's too much or I we wont spend that etc. Nobody has a fucking scooby do they?

What size are we anyway? Small, medium or one size fits all?

It's ok though as we've kept it so hush, no other club or agent has the foggiest that we had some investment from a Chinese consortium so we should be able to continue to pick up players on the cheap.  Wink

Peterborough and northampton are interested in signing Freddie woodman on loan from Newcastle . Football league zone

Posh's dodgy chairman has said there is no truth in this (for their point of view anyway).
