Scally hopes that recruitment at Gillingham will be MUCH better than in the last couple of seasons! Now who could that have been?
Hold on, didn't they just miss out on the play-offs in JED's first season?

He was the Chron's MOM. You weren't there where you. Mohoney played well too!
I was there me ole mucker…he was absolutely dreadful! First goal, didn't even move, 2nd goal he flapped and was on his arse when the ball was headed in and the third goal he was beaten at his near post. I can't remember him making a single half decent save, all he did was pick the ball out of the net 3 times! If Smith had been in goal, I reckon he would have saved 1 or maybe 2 of those goals. He was very good against Gillingham though; indeed my mom in that game!

I'd take anything that man says with a very large pinch of salt. Every time he appoints a new Manager he bangs on about how things will be different this time, how he's gone in a different direction and got the right man, previous mistakes won't be repeated again. My opinion is that JED still has much to prove at our club but I find the re-writing of history of his time at Gillingham to be odd, even more odd that our fans seem to want to lap it up. I had to pull a Gills fan up on the Chron site for trying to claim that Gillingham were flying at the top of the league when JED took over and that they then dropped like a stone. Surely we have learned from Oxford fans view on Wilder and Portsmouth fans view on Holmes to ignore this stuff

Sadly after Wilder I think we are back to lots of fans wanting our managers to fail.
Judge him on his team and his recruitment. So far the couple of signings are promising.

looks as if he's about to go for big money to the championship.
Love reading the comments on this thread, most of us could see a good player there. Unlike the idiot managers we've had!

Nowhere to hide for him if he gets it wrong, I hope I'm wrong but he will be gone by Christmas.
I hope you put money on this like I suggested!

It just goes to show that supporters often get things exactly right . Most people could not understand why Rodney wasn’t selected . It wasn’t just JED though ,Page didn’t pick him either .

Absolutely right but then you have to ask who appointed Page, JED and now JFH. The spotlight should not only be on the manager, struggling badly though he is.

Spot on Vintage, Thomas seems to be immune from any criticism, when was the last time he attended? He's been here over 2 years and achieved nothing that he promised.

Glad to see that Rod is doing well and hopefully he does get a move, however the source of this info 'John Harriott' is quite clearly a hoax twitter account.

Still can't believe he was allowed to leave, was definitely one for the future. I know not everyone agreed but I'd have him over Pierre, Barnett or Poole anyday.
