Just been reading about the average age of teams are getting younger by 2 months every season as more and more youngsters are given earlier break through opportunities . This got me wondering how we will probably compare against our nearest and dearest local rivals next season.. Probably look something like this.. Luton 23 years Mk Dons 23 years Coventry 24 years Posh 25 years Cobblers 32.5 years..
The exuberance of youth v experienced old heads.. but sadly old uns have no re sale value.

Yet again you're inventing a situation and then getting angry about it. Fúcking lunatic.

I suggest you do the math properly on our current squad, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Before anyone else says it, I am annoyed with myself that he made me bite but here it goes... Current squad averages (ours is up to date, not 100% sure on the others) we do have the oldest squad by 0.7 years. The youngest is Coventry (who got relegated) then Luton (who couldnt get out of League 2) then MK, Peterborough and NTFC with a grand average age of 25.4 years. Based on the assumption that we need to sign 7 players over the summer (I made a number up, seems to work for you) the average age of the players would need to be 50. That means that we can sign Tony Adams and Martin Keown to cover the defence and have Seaman in goal. Although Seaman is 53 so would have to off set him with Alan Shearer but then would that work with already having Richards and Revel?

To be fair, I did read somewhere recently that the average age of our squad last season was the highest in the division. I suspect our current average age has been brought right down by the likes of Goff and the Italian sounding striker (plus McWilliams of course).
In terms of re-sell value, pretty irrelevant given only a tiny percentage of players ever get sold for cash at our level. A year ago, pretty much everyone would have assumed we'd cash in on both Smith and Concrete at some point. What did we get for the two combined?!
We did have too many old players last season though. One of the reasons why our team lacked energy. You need a balance, hopefully JE will provide that for us next season!

One thing we are is good value in the betting in comparison to our most local clubs. To win their respective leagues. Luton town 9/1 Oxford united 10/1 Milton Keynes 10/1 Peterborough 12/1 Cobblers 40/1 Lump on

It matters not how old/young they are , It's how good they are that counts.

Yes, but this season is still being played. It's a month until pre-season starts and over two months until the season proper starts. SO, CALM DOWN AND BE PATIENT!

If you can tell me who we have in our first game next season then I will accept your point as being valid.

Great idea for a new game. I will go for Pompey at home. No idea why. Anyone else?

Luton town 9/1 Oxford united 10/1 Milton Keynes 10/1 Peterborough 12/1 Cobblers 40/1 Lump on 2015/16 we were priced at 14/1, behind Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers, Luton, Oxford and Orient Remind me how that worked out? MK Dons were second favourites last year with Charlton 4th Favourites. The bookies know as much as you do at this point of the season!

The bookies are aware of our poor infrastructure and lack of investment?
