Centre-half signed on a 2 year contract from Bury. Good experience, some Bury fans don't seem to rate him but they do acknowledge he played very well in their last 5/6 games of the season.
With 2 or 3 still to sign (at centre-back), we don't really know if he will be first team or back up in this position.

Welcome aboard Leon!
An upgrade on both Zak (without all the International duty bollox!) and he's also slightly younger than Diamond....with much higher league experience....
1st CB in.....more to follow!
Oh, he's originally from Luton area too so that could have been in his decision to sign. I remember him from his Luton days. Still a bit of a legend in those parts by all accounts...

If so what does our resident designer/soothsayer/builder/architect think - must know of him!

Looks a fairly good signing, hope we get a couple of younger centre halves now to play along side him.

Was not that much of a leg end down the m1 but that was a long time back. Hes a good age and has experience in this division, probably just what we need.. Welcome aboard the good ship marie Celeste.

First in, he can have the choice of centre half numbers...

His experience indicates that there must be some quality about him. He ain't over the hill at 31 and, like any player, needs the right team mates around him to show what he can do. Welcome Leon!

I think you're getting confused with the "stadium:mt" 20 miles or so down the road with regular attendances of 20,000 empty seats.

Not enamoured by that signing . He has been released by Bury who have a poor defensive record . Bang average comes to mind .

You take notice of a sh+t Bury team BUT ignore his 3 promotions to the Premiership! ...................why?

Could be a canny signing. Sounds like he was steady at Bury to start with but improved with time. His CV is certainly impressive

Wilder signed players that had experience of promotion to and games in L1, which seems a very sensible plan to me. So this year I'm looking for players with experience of promotion to and games in the Championship.
By that standard, I'm over the moon with a player with THREE promotions to and games in the Premier League! How could a club like us sign a better first central defender? He should be at his peak now. Would be interested to know how he's dropped to this level though. At least one young partner would be nice as others are calling for, but I'm not sure it's necessary. What's wrong with a pair of 31 yo centre backs?
Surely our first £2.5m player - He must be the most expensive player to ever play for the Cobblers? I remember Carter and O'Donovan were £1m plus. Taylor only reached750k.

average gates of 10,000 plus and multiple 3000 and upto 7000 visiting fans swelling the ranks as well 25,000 when our very own saints helped boost the mk coffers.. You need not worry about them..you need to look closer to home for a loss making ground.. Hope that helps.

Maybe the direction, the last club? To be fair, what he achieved several years back counts for little if released by Bury! This is not a personal opinion of the signing, the guy or how well he'll hopefully do for us. However, your logic doesn't really stack up!

My logic is the standard he can achieve (most can't) and as a team game if the other 10 are mainly sh*t then it would reflect on his performance.
At only 31 he can still achieve.
