It looks OK, it's just a shame we're stuck with the horrible new university logo on it, the one that looks like it was done by a sixth form design student using Wordart.

I've just finished my degree at Loughborough, they tried to replace our logo with this a couple of years ago:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/higher/loughborough-becomes-the-latest-university-to-be-hit-by-a-campus-revolt-over-a-new-logo-10216854.html

Thankfully they replaced it after a huge student petition. I'm surprised the UoN students haven't done the same, it really is awful

I don't believe it...it's nearly 9.00pm, the new away kit has successfully been revealed and the Beds Cobbler hasn't hijacked this thread to moan about KT, the Club, the East stand, the 1000s who get turned away etc etc.
He's on loan to Oxford Utd.They are in meltdown after banging on about Championship footie, new stadium...then their takeover has vanished into thin air!  Grin

Deadly dull, under floodlights in February? As its dark like claret, either a third kit or a mainly white home kit?

Well we didn't have a mainly white home kit the last time we had a black away kit. Last years away for 3rd...?

Going against the grain here, but I like the logo re-design... just think they've chosen the wrong font for it!

The logo is awful but that's not the club's fault .
At least black is more flattering on the note portly gentlemen that attend matches ....

Same design as last years home kit. Very lazy and disappointing in my opinion

The UON logo isn't great but we can't do anything about that

I'll say it again, that's how this 'lower league' deals with Nike work, I'm surprised anyone is surprised. Last seasons away was the home template from the year before, a cursory look at any other Nike team at our level would tell you that.

This is the trade off with kit deals, either go with a smaller manufacturer and get unique kits - with possible lack of quality, or go with Nike and take the generic designs.

Exactly this.

Pi$$ poor effort. I took a scan through all 7 pages of Nikes shirt catalogue yesterday and its all pretty dire. Strangely, the styles used by England and Spurs aren't in there but guessing as they're big customers they maybe get bespoke designs.

Why black? Even with the lazy choice of design, they could have gone white / claret. I can accept yellow in an away kit and the pink I got the reasons why but I've no idea where we've dug up black, blue and even green for these kits now.

Well, i guess at least it must mean the home kit will be a different shirt design. Unless they just reverse last years home shirt (which is what they could have done for this seasons away!)

Slightly underwhelming shirt but not the end of the world is it. No rule you have to buy the latest kit and we have had a few nice ones in recent years to choose from. The best for me was the pink Errea number and I think Errea got a bad rap.

Going forwards would like to see the club shop coming back in house and the club engaging with a smaller heritage brand like Hummell or even Lotto etc. Would also like to see the club develop an established colour pallet for our kits as black means v little to me. The blue training gear was a definite no-no as too much like the Pish.

Still, I think the latest away shirt will sell well and again it has the Nike street cred for the kids.

The uni logo is s***e but that's their lookout. Agree re the colours and it wouldn't take much to sort an established colour pallet for Cobblers stuff.

probably as easy as getting a brand new east stand, and a north stand with safe standing, and a bigger away stand, and more sell out crowds in a bigger ground.

why haven't we done all those things if it is so easy.

All they've done though is replace claret with black. There's plenty of designs to choose from. If they're going to bring out new kits every year at least vary them a bit

As mentioned previously, the Nike deal revolves the home/away kit style the following season normally.

The black looks okay, but as I'm fat the style will probably be a bit too tight fitting like this years home kit.

Hopefully the home kit is the same style as this years away, just claret instead.
