Cobblers have signed former MK Dons attacker Dean Bowditch on a 2-year contract.

He joins fellow ex-MK players Alex Revell and Daniel Powell at the club.

Defender? Well - hope he shows a bit more enthusiasm than he did when he was here on loan.

If David Martin also signs we'll soon have a MK Dons ex eleven.

Can play winger or wide midfield aswell as striker.

Chips in with goals and topped the assists a few years back. Also, a fans favourite - always a good sign.

Welcome back Dean.

So potentially we could turn up to MK next season with a front 3 of Powell, Revell and Bowditch!

The MK/Cobblers rivalry seems to be turning into MK VS MK Rejects.

Good signing, versatile and scores goals. I fail to see how some people can be underwhelmed, I don't know who they expected us to sign - ronaldo and messi are a bit out of our price range.

Turning into the Mk Dons feeder club

no the way a feeder club works is that players first play for the feeder club then move on to the parent club, in this scenario we are the parent and mk dons are the feeder. I think this was a great partnership set up by kelvin thomas and andy melville and applaud them both.

Good signing. Excellent options up top now.

covers anywhere across the front line - which with a smaller squad is a bonus.

can do a job at this level.

squad man.

reasonable signing.

just the defensive core to come then.

Definitely tongue in cheek but okay.

Also, the partnership doesn't exist so you're talking bollocks as per most of your posts

Slightly odd signing, but one that appears to have strengthened the squad. Hopefully the competition for places will bring the best out of the likes of Hoskins and Waters.

I never understand why some people will say every signing we make is good and anyone who doesn't follow this protocol and expresses doubts is clearly wrong/crazy/doom monger etc. In the real world we will make a mixture of good, bad and average signings, Im sure some of the signings I think have been good won't turn out that way and maybe Bowditch will turn out to be great only time will tell.

Perhaps if you wouldn't mind explaining WHY you were underwhelmed at signing what appears on the surface to be a proven good player at this level with League One promotion experience, then maybe your view would be more, erm, respected?
