Agree actually, thought Cornell was the least of our issues on Saturday.

Evers we definitely did not set up to win that game. We set up not to lose.

Yep I'm not sure what this pocket of anti Cornell feeling is about - sure not the best keeper we have ever had on our books but certainly not the worse - slightly ironic though I was just commenting after about 80 mins that his kicking had improved and then he put two in a row out to touch - but hardly a hanging offence (Smithy's kicking was far from perfect)

That's involuntary hindsight - most were expecting us to win prior to kick off. On the other hand most could say that most teams are set up not to lose.

The club have probably done Cornell no favours this close season, it's clear he wasn't seen as first choice but if we fail to sign a keeper of sufficient quality he is a ready made scapegoat for fans. It also doesn't help we so easily released Smith who, whatever your thoughts on him, is obviously a superior keeper to Cornell.

I've always felt he was ok for a backup and should be trusted to step in if required for short stints but you wouldn't want him in goal for the season.

Nine of this is Cornell's fault and there is no suggestion that he's anything less than 100% committed and wants to do well.

Surely you can see the difference in setting out to win and setting out not to lose. Quick cheats guide, one summed up most games we played under Wilder, the other most games under Page

You're not getting it so let's agree to disagree my old mate.

Just watched the penalty 'incident', how we didn't get that I haven't a clue.  The official had no excuse...

You are not getting away with that! I bet before the game you would not have made that claim.  It is a dangerous thing to set up a team not to lose. I would do it the other way round that is a team set to win; then being the Cobbs bound to be the opposite. You dwell too much on hindsight!
