Well I'll start it regardless. Even if most are a little disappointed.

Welcome Luke, let's hope you prove to be a great success.

I'm quite happy with the signing but I'm afraid JED was clearly not that keen after the Corby game .
He was clearly about fourth choice and I'm not buying it that availability as a permanent signing changed things .
Clearly we have been strung along by other players .
All the best though Luke - lets see what you are all about .

If Cornell had had a shaky start, and dropped a couple of clangers, I'd be worried, but he hasn't. I'm willing to have faith at this point that Cornell will cut the mustard and I'm sure Coddington will be good enough to keep him on his toes.

Or their management. Either way, my thoughts as well.

Welcome Luke.

Trawling through the posts on here, are some suggesting there is something fishy about the sudden availability for permanent transfer?
Don't be so shellfish. For Cod's hake, give the guy a chance and a welcoming wave. You moaners have a chip on your shoulder, talk some right carp and give me a blinding haddock.

If he can come off his line to rise like a salmon and catch the ball and keep it out of the net, he'll earn his plaice. He'll have us hooked with his performances and we'll soon be perched at the top of the league. I hope I'm not making a rod for my own back here, but reeling in some Premier League cast offs can land us some good players at this level.

Edit: No pun intended.  Wink

He did say that. About Adam Smith and Ryan Clarke. He did not sign Cornell.

Pretty obvious we plumped for Coddington so we could afford Grimes, isn't it?

Do you think? That would either mean that we are paying a substantial amount of Grimes' wages (can't imagine Swansea would require much - if any - financial contribution), or the budget has been reached. I still think Coddington is more of a youth development signing, like George Smith, and another 'keeper will come in.

Just my opinion yeah. I'm not too fussed to be fair. Cornell is adequate.
