I'm not going, they always beat us anyway so I really don't know why most of you look forward to this fixture
Because we support the team

As proper fans we look forward to it because of previous experiences and future expectations!!!
The joy of Sammo scoring in front of 3K+ delirious Cobblers fans on the Moyes End.
The joy of 'The Battle of Abington Park'.
and many many more experiences.

Do you just go to games where you think we might win?
yeah, that's why I go to most games. Because I always think we might win. If you don't think you might win then what's the point in following a team at all?

We beat them about once every 8 games. Name a few more of these experiences because so far you've listed one from 15 years ago and one from 40 years ago

1-0 London road the year we got promoted under Calder wood. Scott mcgliesh scored.. And when we beat them at home in the 86-87 all conquering season, other than that no other ones spring to mind

I'm not bothering either unless Jeds gone.
No win since March and his win rate is a poultry 26.1%. Our last league win was Port Vale at home March 17..Pathetic. Seems like a life time ago.

What a shame!

I think we'll lose but only by 2-1. Still leave us pointless though.

It will be good when you're all wrong. You pessimistic lot.   2-0 Cobblers. We play with 2 wingers, 4 at the back and play total attacking football. Who woke me up?

What a bunch of wet lettuces. It's derby day, anything can happen. Can understand the football isn't everyone's cup of tea right now but no excuses not to go to this one.

Well at least I appreciate and support your sentiments. As for those hoping for a loss to get rid of JE ought to be ashamed of themselves.

If all fit, excluding long terms, if JJOT unfit I'd rather McWilliams be given another go rather than Kasim.

Can't really comment as I've only seen a couple of pre-season friendlies, but now back from a three week holiday and looking forward to my first game of the season........

I say looking forward....but I'm not overly optimistic judging by the comments on here and FB to what has happened in the first four games this season. Always willing to be pleasantly surprised though....!!

Welcome back and how did your holiday go? Did you have a jolly time in Eastbourne? Surprised that you of all people adopt such a negative stance. Would have thought you would be on here berating the moaners and tell them to support the team whatever! Historically they haven't always beaten us!  That's a fact. Anyway some of us will take the bait!

Assuming Philips is fit and O'Toole is not; I'd go with this.

                   Cornell

Phillips     Barnett   Pierre    Buchanan

Moloney   McWilliams  Grimes   Powell

          Waters     Long
