I got two chins...how many points you got...you were dreadful today, no passion, nor desire. Your team let your 5500 fans down yet again  whilst ours just did enough...
Hows the kitchen fitting going? Simple question.

Totally spot on  - to be honest you were far from great and top of the table flatters you on today's performance but good teams do enough and bad teams are incapable of getting a result.

Today was another inept embarrassing defeat to our biggest rivals . Once I saw the team sheet the inevitable result was just a matter of time. It pains me to say this but they were the complete opposite of us, a good pacey forward thinking team who attacked with purpose and flair, with no height up front either. On hearing his post match interview ,JED is going nowhere and the postponement of next week's game might just have saved him unfortunately, with 3 games at home now. I too don't like chopping and changing managers, but to go with Revs and Rico up top again was just unbelievable, with pace on the bench. Page was bad enough, JED is worse ,get rid now not in 6 games time when we will be cut adrift.

Well that was a f***ing shambles. As soon as I heard the team news, 5 at the back and the two geriatrics up front I feared the worst. But to be fair for the first 30 minutes we seemed to be doing alright with the defensive tactics. Keep it at 0-0 until 70 minutes I thought then bring on Waters & Long for the front 2 and surprise them with a bit of pace up front.
Then they scored and everything changed. Heads went down, we didn't look like getting back into it and it took 45 minutes for the first shot on target. Surely he'll make changes at half-time? He did; he brought on Powell, probably the least effective of his attacking options on the bench, who immediately gave the ball away with his first two touches. Revell & Richards it seems were untouchable. And so the game ground on to its inevitable conclusion, Long and finally Waters introduced, but by then it's too late. Game over for Cobblers and hopefully the clueless one.

I actually thought Powell did OK after being introduced, at least he tried to get at them. Alex Revell did more than Rico, just a shame no one could read his headers. Buchs looked better in a four but Moloney had a disappointing game as did all the defence - Pierre probably the best centre half. Crooks very disappointing again! Doesn't look fit. Grimes showed some nice touches. Long and Waters did nothing after coming on. Our best player Shaun McWilliams by a country mile.

Long Revell scored and did you notice how bad their marking was!

You are quite right - thought it was Long, can't believe it was Revell.  Resulted from the only decent cross we had all game. Fancy that Revell scored!

You need to change your glasses mate. Why can't you believe Revell scored? At least he showed some commitment today, shame most of the others didn't.

Worth pointing out that, despite being one of the most woefully incompetent managers we have ever had, Rob Page never lost more than three games in a row during his time as Cobblers manager.

Edinburgh has now lost five in a row.

Page did the unthinkable and lost to Stourbridge plus that by far and away defeat at BR and the girls thing!

I also as soon as I saw the starting XI knew we would lose. It was so obvious that we have lost a derby because of the stubboness of a manager. Thats why people want him gone, because he believes he is right and isn't open to change. It's patronising. First goal was shockingly bad defending, 2nd the same, although when its going against you, it goes against you. The ref was shockingly bad and denined physics for awarding Boro that throw that led to the goal. It would not have made one jot of difference to the overall result as Boro hardly got out of 2nd gear. They showed how to play with wingbacks. Both were midfielders with lots of energy, even playing a rw at lwb cutting inside. They could have been exposed if we used the wings to play Powell and a future RW that JED's ineptitude has failed to sign for us. The only thing I enjoyed was watching Grimes travel and pass with the ball. Clearly a step up in player.

Thought Grimes was our MOTM. Always wanted the ball and was always trying to get us forward, and didn't give up. Ability wise he is on another level to the rest of the team. The sooner John-Joe gets fit the better because whatever combination JED is putting out it just isn't gelling. Thought the new keeper did OK, maybe could have done better with the second but I'm sure he won't forget his debut in a hurry.it pains me to type it but Posh were just quicker than us in every position. Shows what two mobile forwards can do compared to two thirty plus forwards. Disappointing.

Well I don't agree, thought generally he was not very good. The only thing I would say is that his anticipation on the cross coming in was excellent. Made their marking pi$$ poor. I suppose with better quality balls coming in he might have done better. "Might" is the operative word.
Was shocked by Richards performance.

ps nothing wrong with glasses, just merely we don't agree.

No, the glasses bit was relating to you thinking Long scored when it was Revell.

Look I don't want to have an argument over glasses, but from where I was sitting the scorer was partially obscured. Round me most thought it was Long and so did I. May I ask where you were sitting? Finally my glasses are still fine its just that they don't see thru' people.  Hope you understand.

My favourite part of the day was Marriott scoring for Boro, he's Northampton raised. I captained him at youth level and was a good friend at school and I just knew he'd bag today...

He was even there celebrating on the pitch with me as kids when Scott McGleish scored that goal against Chester... f*cking typical

Lethargic, slow, jittery players with a one-dimensional game plan from an inept manager. Admittedly I wasn't there to see the 5-0 at Bristol Rovers but for me, that today was worse than anything I saw under Page. We're going backwards at a rate of knots.

I am deaf as well  Grin Look old chap I thought it was Long and when I asked a colleague they also thought it was Long! Only just after committing on here that it was a Long that I subsequently realised it was Revell. I did hear some sort of announcement afterwards , but it did not carry. Please accept my apologies for this oversight Roll Eyes

So in summary, my glasses are fine, my hearing is poor but only when spoken to by my beloved. You did well to spot the scorer from Lower West nr Tunnel as you must have been partially unsighted! This is my last word on this incident Shocked
