Again there's Keith Hill at Oldham, John Coleman at Accrington- both who have got blood out of stones for their clubs and take not s***.
Other than that JFH?

Keith hill is at Rochdale, John Sheridan is oldhams boss. Like with page just because people can't think of an alternative doesn't mean we should give him more time - if the position becomes available I'm sure there will be a decent level of candidates.

Let's not pretend that Giggs coming to Sixfields would be anything other than a massive coup. Lampard too.
You're right of course but I don't see why anyone would want either of them. What about Giggs coaching record makes anyone think he would be a good manager? This is the same man that turned up to an interview for the managers job at Swansea and was surprised when they actually interviewed him. He was assistant Manager at Man U through their worst performance in 30 years, not all his fault granted. Mourinho always has someone from within the club as an assistant (Steve Clarke, Steve Holland at Chelsea, Karanka at Real), quite telling he let Giggs go when he came in. As for Lampard, why? What is his coaching style? Do we know that he doesn't prefer 532, or he isn't a safety first, Rob Page type? If we are to get a new manager lets get someone who has a track record as a manager, or at the very least as a coach. We can at least see what sort of football they favour, how they set their teams up, the type signings they make. We need to get this one right (IF/when we make a change), going for a name so Sky Sports care about us isn't a priority.

Hypothetical question.....
IF we had the choice between signing a striker who came with a bit of pedigree and almost guaranteed goals.....or....
Sacking JE.....
Which one would you pick? Financially we can't do both....
(entirely hypothetical btw)

Who would we replace JED with, need to know this before I decide If, in this hypothetical scenario, JED stayed and didn't change the system or style of play then I would sack JED.

I know many will disagree but he did little wrong before, being sacked after a run of draws because Cardoza wanted Johnson in the job, has a passion for the club, the game and would be a fans favourite if appointed, what about Sammo, was very passionate and outspoken on the radio for the QPR game

One player rarely make a poor team into a good one - a poor manager can certainly turn an average team into a very poor one.

Sack JE....the way we are currently set up for games, it's irrelevant which striker we sign....he won't get any chances!!! or he'll be played at right wing back!

I don't disagree and I still feel he was treated very shabbily - respectable 14th no danger of going down and a pitiful playing budget.

just because people can't think of an alternative
I don't buy this 'lack of an alternative' line at all. 1. Neil Ardley 2. Paul Tisdale 3. Cowley brothers at Lincoln 4. Hasselbank 5. Pearson 6. Neil 7. Phelan There's seven names for a start. Some would require compensation and some wouldn't be interested, but if you want people on the up rather than on the way down then that's normally the way you have to go. Giggs would be a sideshow and would arrive with absolutely no knowledge of the level whatsoever. Lampard is probably more intelligent and might be decent but I don't think we can afford a rookie who would need to learn on the job, no matter what their pedigree.

It weren't that long ago Exeter were almost certain to go down and the club were looking to get rid of Tisdale. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38017590Didn't win a home game until mid December. Then went on to finish 5th....

It might be a good thing that they don't know this level, would be happy with Ardley or Cowleys - my only slight reservation would be a concern they were one club managers similar to Howe at Bournemouth - does very well but struggles to repeat success elsewhere - obviously I have not factual evidence and I would prefer them to JED

Cowley brothers have been successful everywhere - even before Lincoln. However, they turned down Norwich recently so are hardly going to come here.

Brian McDermott on the Arsenal coaching staff and was not interested in the job last season. Just a thought, Graham Carr, Director of Football with a younger man,Sammo,in charge of the team?

In my heart I'd still prefer JE to wise up and turn things around, simply to avoid all the f***ery that changing manager involves. And for those baying 'get rid now,' let us not forget it was KT employed the last two blokes got the job, so why imagine he'll do any better with the next one? If JE does go, then I'd put Jon Brady in charge of coaching, along with one (maybe two) of the senior pros - at least for an interim period to see how it goes. What could be the harm? Certainly could do no worse than current form, and could save the club time and money.
