Apologies if already mentioned but the first time we've had a manager on twitter. This could get very interesting, or the complete opposite.
Dont go there.......

It sounds like he is going to play just 1 striker up front on listening to his interview on iFollow just now.
Who will it be I wonder?

My shout for a JFH song
To the tune of Jimmy Mack
Jimmy

Oh Jimmy Floyd
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
Sounds like the Moldovan entry for Eurovision?

Fair play. Jimmy yesterday managed at an intensity level not seen since Chris Wilder. He was great entertainment with his constant instructions and encouragement to the players. Unlike the previous two managers he clearly knows the formation and set up he wants and seems to have convinced the players of it too. When I saw the line up just before the game I had absolutely no idea how it would work and especially how or where Smith would fit in. Well less than twenty seconds in after a pass from Revell it was clear where he fitted in. That was some impact by he and Jimmy.

It was difficult to believe at times that they were mainly the same bunch of players who had been hopeless so far this season. I think some of that needs to go on the players but it definitely highlighted just how much damage JE was inflicting. I did chuckle when JFH directed a short throwing back and the players were looking for him to play the conductor at times, like little kids seeking approval. It probably needs it at the moment.
If we do start playing some better stuff and have a decent season then the wage (whatever it is) that JFH comes with will pay for itself in gate revenue. It could be a mini master stroke and investment in the right area.

I can't be arsed to go through the other threads to check if it's already been mentioned, but there's a full page in today's Times about JFH, the club, and a sidebar about McWilliams. I can't link as that winker Murdoch has erected a pay wall.

It would be an extremely hard bump if we fall back to earth tomorrow night wouldn't it?

In my experience we never have that far to fall.
