If JFH is to play just the one striker up front, as he's alluded to, who would you go with?

Hopefully Long with Grimes playing the 'no. 10'. They are probably the two players who are undoubtedly good enough at this level.

so far, i don't think we have seen anything from any forward player, in a competitive game, that suggests they are anything but average at best.

It will be mean we can add "sh*t at recruitment" to JE's CV. The players will be as up for it as they'll ever be tomorrow.

Agreed, I think goals could be a bit of a problem. I believe we have to play Waters off either Rico or Revell. He has scored many more league goals than Long, who I would use as impact off the bench. Biggest problem for me though is the lack of width in the side. If he wants a 442 he only really has one specialist winger in Powell. I'm sure Hoskins or Waters could do a job there but the problem lies with our recruitment in that area.

I like Grimes but not sure he's a ten, I would want goals from that position and he's only scored 6 in his career

I would love it we played Rico and Revell up front together and won comfortably.

Even better if he played 3-5-2 with Buchs at wingback.

75% of the people on her would not know what to type. Funny how the warehouse worker Kingsheath thinks they no best.

Having said that i don't care who or how they line up, just get a better tune out of them and win some games!

JFH you are in charge do what you want and make it work.

But what about all the other players we signed where everybody continuously said 'great signing this' on this forum after each one was announced?

My biggest bug bear on here, everybody rating signings without even having seen them bloody play a game of football!

Don't want to keep harping on about the carnage the great departed one has left in his wake but the squad is garbage isn't it? I've read upteen posts and no one seems to be able to put a balanced side together. People keep going on about square pegs in round holes but I'm more concerned about 7 pegs for the same hole. Reckon JFH has got his work cut out turning us into even a half decent unit? Roll on January, JE you are a useless c™t.

As long as he:

1. Doesn't play Rico and Revell up front and
2. Doesn't play 3-5-2 with players patently unsuited to the formation

Then he'll already be streets ahead of his predecessor, regardless of the result. JED set a pretty low bar. I expect to see an improvement, but I'm realistic enough to see that it will take time for JFH's vision to be fully implemented.

The last two managers were absolute crap as long as jfh doesn't play the same old players and formation we'll be fine.
