I feel so sorry for the lad. An outstanding home grown prospect. Does anyone know what the injury is and how bad it is?

The club have announced he is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks. Great news as it looked a lot worse

Thank god it's not long term....just before he got injured I was raving about his performance and saying we need to get him on a long term deal as he is only going to get better...kiss of death!!!

If we can keep injuries to a minimum, with the return of JJOT, Foley and Hoskins, we're gonna have one hell of a decent squad...just a shame the previous manager didn't know how to use any of them!  Grin

Could have quite easily been another Hornby, and we don't want that again.

That's superb news - I was convinced that he'd broken his ankle or done ligament damage. It's a bit unfortunate for him that when he comes back it will be around the same time as foley, JJOT and Hoskins and he might slip down the pecking order but as others have said we're going to soon have an abundance of options.

I don't think he needs to worry about slipping down the pecking order. I'd expect him to be one of the first names on the team sheet when fit. Excellent talent and a real prospect.

Thought that their bloke should have been carded for that tackle. We missed him big time 2nd half.A

Ref was looking at it as well, was it Kennedy? left his foot in a few times last night catching our players late.

The injury is purely studs on top of the foot . No stitches .
Good news

His ability to get round the pitch is massive for us, starting to become more confident when on the ball as well.

McWilliams was a big miss 2nd half and his replacement Kasim did little to effect the game, particularly when his team was put under severe pressure in the second half. Was guilty of some sloppy defending - with and including Dave Buchanan unable to clear their lines when they probably should have done - allowing Kennedy to score just just four minutes into the second half. True he played better than of late but a pale replacement for McW when we needed somebody of sterner stuff. Jury very much out for me on Kasim.

See I thought Kasim used the ball really well when he had it and hassled the opposition when we were higher up the pitch.

Was worried when Kasim came on but did ok to be fair...sure the JFH & DA will work with him more intensely later this week

While McWilliams is out, perhaps JFH will look at playing Poole alongside Grimes in the two, as i'm sure he'd be competent enough to do a job....

Will be great when we have Grimes, McWilliams, JJOT & Foley challenging for the two "deep midfield" places on offer...

Imcident happened right in front of approx row F 130 - 140. Lot of unhappy fans in that area that the guy got off scot free.Did you(Lj) not hear the booing when the ref failed to book the offending player.

And then almost straight after when moloney seemed to just collapse off the ball - I thought he'd done something serious as well but by the reaction of the crowd I don't know if he caught an arm/elbow.

Yes it was right in front of me too and we weren't happy the ref let Kennedy off scott free. I would have booked him anyway for his constant diving to the floor anytime he was tackled.

I see that JJ will be at least another three weeks and Foley's ' knee' injury will take about the same time. I'm not sure where the knee injury comes from as they told us it was a badly bruised ankle at the time it happened .

On a more positive note Hoskins is close to a return.
