Last night I watched a Dvd of the Leicester-Spurs cup final in 1961. The game was full of tackles which today would have brought a card. anyone going down under a tackle just got up and got on with the game. There was no head injuries caused use of the arms, no wrestling, no shirt pulling, the major cause of free kicks was obstruction. Officials decisions went unquestioned and free kicks and throw ins were taken from the correst place with no attempt at time wasting. The result was a game where two teams went about it hammer and tongs for the whole ninety minutes. Very enjoyable viewing

Footballers are a load of poofs these days. Just imagine the likes of Nani coming face to face with Tommy Smith or Dave Mackay.

When we rolled our socks down to our ankles to show that we weren't wearing shinpads! And if we were fit enough to take the penalty that we were fouled for, it couldn't have been a penalty.
