I dont know if anyone is particularly interested but with things like expected goals creeping into the norm now this website is useful but looking at how your teams are performing.

I know Brentford are massively interested in this side of things and are generally not worried when they are performing badly as long as the metrics are in their favour.

It appears Wigan have been the best team performance wise this season and we have been the worst (not ideal we play them away tomorrow).

This isnt another topic about 'easier' games etc. It would appear that we have been very fortunate so far since JFH reign (deservedly so with the change in shape and work rate). But these things do tend to balance out over a while, shows we still have a lot of improvement to come which we all know!

Interesting to see Southend's position on the charts given their league position.

Like them, an easily readable pictorial method of showing how good or bad we are.
Look forward to the link being put up at regular intervals?

I will include the expected goals chart in the game threads to allow people to review these. Its definitely a point of interest for me even if its not to everyones liking.

Not good reading for me - seems to be saying the writing is already on the wall.

Tbh its just another version of displaying average "whatevers" per game, albeit presented in a slightly more aesthetically pleasing manner.

I don't think it shows anything new that the league table doesn't already show, or shows anything underlying that gives cause for hope or despair. The teams at the bottom of the table lie in the worse quadrants, the teams at the top in the better ones. If we start scoring more, we'll move to a better quadrant.

Looks pretty though

Fair point, although Shrewsbury who are 5 points clear dont show in many of the best quadrants despite their league position. Normally these things are expected to average out over time, so based on this you would expect Wigan to start improving their results and consistency and Shrewsbury to start sliding.

Or if Shewsbury maintain their league position maybe they will begin to show in the best quadrants, and if Wigan don't improve their results they will start to disappear from the best quadrants?
I'm still particularly intrigued and baffled by the slogan
'Sporadic football analysis and visualisations with a football league bias'. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever to me!

Think Pompey smashed us on those stats but never felt particularly worried by them and that we deserved the win.
