Unless it’s a ACL, achillies or break, there aren’t too many injuries which would put you out of action past August. Maybe they are on the NHS waiting list.

I'd have been surprised if he had been 'carrying' a hamstring for any length of time though?

Guthrie is a bad hamstring but is out for possibly 3 months which impacts on pre season etc - nothing more.
Things can change though .
Lots of players playing through injuries which is making them worst - that’s what happened with Guthrie and hopefully doesn’t happen with Sammy

With regards to the comments around Harrup, it’s worth noting that there is not a football club anywhere who can claim all of their signings have come off. Realistically what should the successful percentage of the recruitment be to allow it to be regarded as acceptable? Obviously what constitutes success would be subjective, but looking at our past and other clubs I would guess 75% would be an outstanding achievement.

An article today on the Chron website with injury updates and expected return dates.

Maybe I missed it but didn't realise Magloire was out till Feb 2024!!!  Likely to miss most of next season.  Real shame for him and blow for the club as he's basically going to have been unavailable for the best part of the first 2 years of his contract.
